COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat is a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale brewed with ripe pumpkins and a variety of autumnal spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves, for a refreshingly smooth beer that fully captures all the flavors of fall.

Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat is a cloudy, turbulent amber ale. The bubbles continually replenish a thin, swirling white film on the surface of it. Pumpkin and wheat are both present in the aroma, along with nutmeg and allspice. It’s medium bodied, foamy and bubbly on the tongue. It leaves the mouth a little chalky. It’s lightly flavored with lemony wheat. The spices come in later and the flavor and push it to be more savory. A light, green bitterness lingers after the swallow. This is kind of neat. It’s like an American take on a dunkelweizen. The pumpkin isn’t readily detectable. This is a nice autumn flavor for a beer.

12 oz. bottle from Capone’s. Copper pour with 1-finger off-white head. Decent look. Nose is authentic pumpkin aroma, pumpkin puree, spice, some caramel, cinnamon. Tastes medium in palate, somewhat sweet, with a half decent pumpkin flavor, but a bit underwhelming in the complexity and body heft arenas. Refreshing, but not a world class pumpkin ale.

Pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg..... Yuck. Definitely not a good combination for a brew.

Got this in a Wegmans pic 6 pack. Hazy orange color, thin off white head. Soft carbonation, lighter body. Very drinkable, good pumpkin ale. Lightly sweet and spicy. Aroma on the lighter side, but still good.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a nice two inch, beige head that slowly fades. Taste is of wheat, pumpkin, nutmeg, yeast, malt and spice. Similar aroma. Has a decent body that is slightly dry and a bit bitter. Very easy to drink and a good seasonal beer.

On tap. Pours an orange color with a medium sized white foamy head. Notes of pumpkin pie, (nutmeg, cinnamon, etc) squash, and wheat beer. Sweet yet refreshing. Not that bad for AB.
