3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12fl oz. bottle. Pours a nearly clear, slightly dark orange with a half finger, off-white head that fades to a thin film quickly.
Aroma is semi-sweet. Notes of pumpkin pie and spices.
Taste is mild compared to the aroma. Not overly bitter or malty with a slightly spiced pumpkin aftertaste.
Low to medium body with a medium carbonation. Fairly crisp and clean in the mouth. Refreshing and drinkable.
Overall not bad but not the greatest. Could have a stronger flavour to match the aroma, and a bit more of a feeling in the mouth. Worth a try if you can’t get any other pumpkin brew. Cheers!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Just drank this one out of the bottle. Picked up a 6 pack for Halloween. Aromas of weak pumpkin spice and some skunk. Tastes of herbal/floral stuff, dirty water, a hint of pumpkin, and artificial nutmeg. Sweet, rotten fruit finish. Flavors are forgettable and not all that pleasant. There goes another pumpkin beer I do not like. Drinkable, but not necessarily enjoyable.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Frosty pint glass
Consumed: Oct. 16, 2013
Misc.: My youngest brother bought a 6-pack; Bottle read, “Pour down side of glass until ˝ inch is left in bottle. Swirl and pour remaining brew to properly blend spices and release the aroma and flavor.”
Poured a caramel, copper hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki white head. No lacing along the sides of the glass. Minimal retention on the top all the way down.
Not much of a smell really, but could definitely tell it was a Shock Top. Caramel, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg, all less than even the Blue Moon Pumpkin. Some Belgian kick though.
Tasted a tad better than the smell. Nutmeg, cinnamon, Belgian wheat spices, cloves and some wintry spices.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Earthy abrupt finish.
Nothing too great about this beer. Skip it and move onto another.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: A dull, brownish-orange pour with lots of bubbles and swirling particulates. Decent ring of creamy beige head with dark spots that mimic sprinkles of nutmeg. Nose is nutmeg, light cloves. The cloves come through stronger in the taste, along with the cinnamon. Picking up some Belgian style yeast, along with pumpkin. Cinnamon gets a little more intense in the tail. Not bad at all, not a world beater by any means, but not as poor as the ratings suggest.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Location: 12 oz bottle, 10/17/13
Aroma: The nose is basically nonexistent, hints of wheat, maybe the slightest amount of spice
Appearance: it pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is dull wheat, hints of spice, mild sweetness, not terrible, just completely dull
Palate: The body is light, there’s lively carbonation, and an overall thinness
This one is barely worth rating. There’s nothing wrong with the flavor here because it barely exists at all. Dull, uninspired, and not a pumpkin beer.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
12 oz bottle.
Disclosure alert. I am a “Shock-Top hater”. Anything that flows as discharge out of the InBev industrial complex is not very respected by me. I did not think that I would like this, but my wife picked it out for me, so I gave it a chance. Put simply, it is the worst effort at brewing a pumpkin flavored beer that I have ever tasted. It is watery, highly carbonated, and the flavoring seems to be some nutmeg and pumpkin spice that they sprinkled into the vat. The nutmeg and pumpkin spice does not even permeate the entire bottle, so the taste is inconsistent, but always bad. This is one of the worst beers that I have tasted in 2013.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Has a light orange pour. Sweet caramel, malt and pint aroma. Taste starts sweet malt but has the pumpkin and light cinnamon flavor you expect.

I hate pumpkin beers but this one is okay. Not very pumpkinny flavored and definitely wheaty. Smells wheaty.

Unpalatable mix of banana and pumpkin spices. Not a fan of Shock Top to begin with and the addition of pumpkin does nothing to improve it. Thin, watery body doesn’t help. I’ve had some pumpkin beers that aren’t bad. This isn’t one of them.
