Sampled at the NoVa Summer Beer Fest in Leesburg, VA on 6/25/11. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of candied raspberry, citrus. The taste is artificial raspberries and grainy wheat notes. Medium bodied. About what you’d expect.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Aroma is of light hopps, flowers, raspberries and orange. Average white, frothy head that is mostly diminishing. Body is hazy pinkish red. Flavor is of citrus and raspberries. Starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic and finishes same. Average duration. Palate is med-light, watery, and lightly astringent. Soft carbonation. Total chick beer, the wife loves it.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
TPSA. I admit it; I didn’t want to like this. This is why we TRY things, kids. Pours a cloudy gold with a light head and ring. The nose is fresh raspberry; bright and not at all candied. This beer smells -- and tastes -- like the fruit. Not much wheat note to it, but that’s a minor quibble. Finishes clean. I’ve been wrong before, I’ll be wrong again, and I was wrong in my preconceptions about this beer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of boo berry cereal and strawberry milk. Flavors are similar. What you expect from AB. Good for a hot day and not really a thought provoker.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours an average cloudy cheddar with an aroma of raspberry soda. Flavor is raspberry quickly tempered by fruity hay. Leaves a medicinal aftertaste. Thin and uninspiring on the tongue. Up yours, AB/InBev. LET TEXAS MICROS SELL FROM THEIR BREWERIES.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[Bottle] Pours a cloudy golden color with a quickly receding white foam head. Initial aroma of berries and lighter amounts of yeast and spices. The taste is of strong raspberry, sweet wheat malts and mild clove. Better than expected body, but this beer comes across as overly sweet. Not a whole lot of balance. Pretty much on par with Leinie’s Berry Weiss. Having said that, I was expecting much worse.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy golden with small bright white head that dissapates fairly quickly. Pretty good lacing, low carbonation, medium body, raspberry aroma, and syrupy texture. Taste is medicinal rapberry syrup and finishes light wheat. Not interested in having again.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Okay, it was on tap after golf, so I had to try it. Again typical mass produced brewery trying to get into the micro niche. Doesn’t work. This brew had fake and overwhelming raspberry tart flavor.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at home, rated against BJCP 2004 guidelines. Aroma: raspberries, sweet wheat base. Appearance: murky gold, small white head. Taste: awkwardly balanced between raspberries and a not outstanding wheat base. Palate: fairly thick, a little chewy. Overall: not great, would be better if raspberry flavor was slightly stronger.
