Draught at Mokichi. Bready body, dark chocolate malt, bit of raisin, smokey notes, mild sweet finish. Ok stuff but not as deep as I expected.

Draft at Mokichi, 04/12/2015. Black pour, off white head, good lacing. Aroma is big chocolate and dark fruity malts, expansive roast character. Taste is similar, mild sweet and dark fruity malts, touch of chocolate, some hops in the middle, medium roast bitterness lingering. Medium full body, round. Good one.

Pitch black color. Nice roasted malt, dark chcolate, coffee nose with a hint of oatmeal. The mouth is slightly acidic, but oatmeal smooth things out with tons of roastiness and good bitterness. Nice lingering bitter finish with tons of roasted malts. Could be smoother for the style, but overall super fantastic.

Shonan Oatmeal Stout 6% IBU 20 a dark black with ruby highlights & a thin creamy beige filmy head of foam. It has a sweet bready dark malt aroma - subdued as it was served a bit too cold. Kind of thin bodied but with a smooth silky mouthfeel. The flavor starts off sweet, a bit of possibly lactose? Then roasty with a dollop of chocolate & some tangy sweetness. Once it warmed up I got a really nice toasted aroma from it. Good stuff.  ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Cheers in Yokohama. Rich, medium sweet, full-bodied stout. Rather light on the roasting. Chocolate, wood, a bit of fruit, oatmeal. Great body. Rich and delicious.
