Clasic English style pale ale, medium bodied, lightly hopped to provide a slight citrus note to the finish of a malty start.

Draft to taster at Shoreline. Looks decent; under carbonated though. A transparent lighter gold with very thin white head. Smells malty with a bit of biscuit and a touch of hops. Tastes like it smells with a bit of caramel in place of the biscuit. Average on the palate with a lighter-bodied mouthfeel. Not bad, but a little bland.

Draft pour at Shoreline Brewing in Michigan City. Orange with white head. Bitter. Kid of fruity. Underwhelming. Not a fan of the English style though

Draft at brewery. The pour is a light yellow. The aroma has some bitterness to it. The taste is good for the style. Fairly smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampler pour on tap at the brewpub (Michigan City, IN). Pours a well hazed golden yellow hue, some darkness in the body, mellow glow in the edges. A frothy whitish head dies to a film, laces small. Aromas are richer lemon, florals, gentle toast and earth. Some bready malts, dough, and gentle crisp toast. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some gentle grass and florals, some lemon, touches of spice. Simple bready malts, touches of grass, biscuit is very gentle. Simple lighter body. Drinkable, light, gentle spice and a slowly growing earthy hop presence into the backend. Mellow, light sessioner. Gentle English Pale with gentle hop presence that becomes a touch more assertive over time. Mellow, enjoyable. Foggy is a better sessioner with more enjoyable dry hoppy presence. Ok. Falls a bit flat. Average English Pale from a brewpub.

On tap at brewery - orange. Slight citrus aroma. Surprising spicy flavor. Good, overall.

A very nice pale ale. Usually these are the "stereotypical pale ale". But this one is unique.

Tap at brewery - delayed entry - pours clear, light amber with little head once it got to the table. Aroma is grainy, slightly cereal-like, and some hints of hops in the background. Flavor is a bit difficult - not strong, but just discombobulated - some grains, some sweet malts, and a slight burnt note that makes it a bit off in my mind. Palate seems fine for the style. Ok, but nothing more!

On tap at Shoreline Brewpub. Clear amber. Aroma of mild grains, sweet malt and faint hops. Taste of mild citrus, pale malt, light honey and a dry finish. Ok.

On tap at brewpub. Light malt, very little aroma. Golden w/ small white head. Very light hop flavor and little else. Light bodied. Not much stood out in this beer.

Tap at brewery. Very light malt aroma - just noticeable. Golden yellow color with small head. Smooth creamy malt and light bitter herbal hops flavor. Tasty but on the light side.
