Did not care for at all. Very bitter with a shallow body and an acrid mouth feel. acidic and tart without a nice finish. sorry.

Draft at the source. Nice floral and citrus aroma. Taste has tons of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple. Nice.

On tap at shoreline in Michigan City. This was a simple and refreshing ipa with good, mellow citrus undertones. Decent pour, with a pillowy, clumpy starch white head, and opaque bright cantaloupe orange color. Light and refreshing describes the nose. Notes of grassy lemon, caramel, and pale cereal malts. The body is mellow and average bitter for the style. Basic flavors of grass, mixed citrus, melon fruit, and caramel. Overall, a basic, but nice ipa.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 NobleSquirrel (3336) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Draft at Great Taste. Finally, a tolerable one from Shoreline. Pours a nice hazy gold with a sticky white head. Nose is big and catty, lots of tropical citra notes and a hint of caramel. On tasting, it’s not seamless, it’s got a bit of roughness that stretches it out. More of that citrusy and tropical fruitiness. Decent malt character but perhaps a bit overbittered? Okay.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 pantanap (3202) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Shoreline exponential. Growler brought back home from Michigan city...
Pours a mostly transparent apple cider orangey hue with a thin film of
off-white head... Aroma of assertive grassy and citrus focused hops.
Pretty clean... Flavors are grassy crisp with a nice citrus hopped
forwardness. Just short of medium bodied with a green grassy finish.

I stopped through the brewpub for a growler while out on vacation and found this was the best of the few samples I tried so I got it. It’s a darn fine IPA and, just for comparison, I stopped through Three Floyds the next day and they had nothing this good on tap so I suppose that is fairly high praise around these parts. It’s a nice, piny, earthy kind of IPA. Normally, I prefer IPAs w/ brighter citrus character but this was so well done I really liked it regardless. It is well built from top to bottom and very drinkable. It is perhaps unexceptional for the style but a very good example. The locals I chatted w/ briefly recommended this highly and it’s already earned itself the nickname of "Expo" which I suppose is already taken by a certain Michigan brewed imperial stout but I do hope to see it again next time I’m through the area.

Good IPA, but not exceptional. Golden color. Light. Lemon and pine tastes. The hops cost your tongue. I got no aroma, but that is probably because there are smokers at the next table.

Best IPA I have had at Shoreline. Hop profile is citrus, floral, and fruity.
Little to no malt complexity, which I appreciate in this style. A Great summer session beer for us hop lovers. Moves away from that earthy, spicy hop profile that most shoreline IPA offerings exhibit. A step in the right direction!!!
