sneagrams3 (1342), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 15, 2008 Tasted 4/27/08. Pt 6 of the sampler. Filtered with a dark brown hue. Beige head. Toasty and cookie aromas. So smooth. Medium bodied with low acidity. Nice malt roast and chocolate flavors. Above par.
mdm46410 (517), Griffith, Indiana, USA Jul 5, 2008 On the nitro-tap at Shoreline Brewery and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark almost black with a thin head of creamy, tan, nitrogen foam. A small amount of spotty lace was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of milk chocolate, oats, and a hint of dark fruits. The flavor included chocolate, oats, heavy roast, and some ripened dark fruits. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and super smooth and creamy. Really flavorful even with the nitro. A good oatmeal stout. heemer77 (3611), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. The body was black with orange at the edges and a khaki head. The aroma was earthy chocolate and coffee. There was also some freshly washed laundry. The taste was milk chocolate with some light tobacco hints. gws57 (951), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 26, 2008 Had this one draught at the brewpub in Michigan City, Indiana. Cloudy dark red pour with a thick light brown head; light malty and bready nose; malty taste with chocolate, milky mouthfeel but a bit blah especially for an oatmeal stout. xnoxhatex (778), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 17, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Dark brown almost black color, some light breaks through with large creamy brown head (nitro). Dark roated malt aroma, sweet. Heavy coffee flavor with dark roasted grainy and oats. Med to full body that was almost creamy, but not quite. Pretty nice and a stand up oatmeal stout.
