3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Alextricity (177) - Chesterfield Twp., Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Appearance: Pours like a pop with a head that’s virtually nonexistent. No lacing... lots of carbonation.
Smell: All grapefruit with minute traces of hops.
Taste/Feel: Graprefruity hops with only a slight bit of malt on the finish as well. Pretty good. There’s also some spice in there, which makes things a little more interesting. The feel is disappointing to me though... very thin, and WAY too carbonated.
Short review, because I just don’t care for this one from Short’s much at all. To cut through the bitterness and to spice things up I added a lemon, which spruced things up a bit, but I’m not too high on this beer. The rating really astounds me... a truly unremarkable beer from a normally remarkable brewery.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mittenator (538) - Michigan, USA - FEB 21, 2013
Bottle. Decent for a session beer. That being said the hoppy/piney aroma was baked up with a quick finishing mild flavor. A bit bitter at the end.

4th October 2011 4th October 2011 Very hazy amber beer, fluffy white head. Crispy palate. Lovely fresh hops. Tangerine - orange and fresh yellow grapefruit. Pine. Mild minerals. Gets a little sweeter before the finish. Minerally bitter aftertaste. Great flavour for a little beer.

Hazy golden amber with a large and in charge slowly fading off-white crown. Aroma of heavy floral notes with biscuity notes, sweet malt and citrus. Taste of floral and citrus hops with earthy and vegetal notes and a moderate bitter finish.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BBB63 (5423) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Bottle and served in pint glass: Pours a hazy golden hue with a nice head and lace. Holy Grapefruit Rind Batman! Both the nose and palate are dominated by grapefruit rind that approaches being aspirin like with astringency, tannin and dryness. Some biscuit and pale wheat notes as well. Major one note brew, interesting but not something I would want to have again.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 wmubronco1992 (524) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - NOV 30, 2012
Bottle. Pours a very cloudy golden. Small white head. Some lacing. Big grapefruit aroma. Flavor of bitter, but not as clear as the aroma. Palate a little light, but understandable for a session IPA. Nice lingering bitter hop mouthfeel. Highly drinkable session beer.

Hazy orange pour and it is a light refreshing piney and some earthiness. It is a nice session IPA.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Huhzubendah (2006) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Thanks Adam!
The beer is crystal clear and appears orange in color. Teeming with effervescence, the beer has a half inch of white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing on the pint glass.
The aroma is outstanding, with a lot of hop and citrus scents.
The flavor offers a heavy dose of grapefruit, tangy oranges, and misc. citrus. Bitterness is there, particularly in the finish. Lots of lasting citrus in the aftertaste.
The body is relatively thin, but then again this is a session IPA. This would be easy to drink in quantity.
Packed with flavor and only 4% abv, this is smooth and easy drinking. One of the best beers I have had from Short’s, I definitely recommend this one.

Bottle. Very little head. Clear golden color crisp. Bitter. Smells like amarillo hops. Not enough malt backbone.
