3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, pours almost like a soda with vibrant red/brown/orange color and lots of carbonation right off the bat, it quickly dissipates. Lots of wheat and oranges on the nose and a hint of hops. Flavor is something I’ve never tasted before, serious amount of the orange sweetness and a slight bitter bite along with a tiny bit of pepper in there. At room temp I only get a slight alcohol burn. Something dances around on the tongue that is difficult to pin down, maybe the acidity along with the alcohol. In any case an extraordinarily unique beer and enjoyable. Might try again with some age on it.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. 2015. Murky dark orange. Scattered lacing and lingering bit of head. Smells like grapefruit, orange. Super full body. Tastes like Donald Duck orange juice (in a good way).

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange color with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with notes of citrus and spice.Flavors of citrus, tangerine, spice and wheat. The finish is fruity with a lightly zesty citrus aftertaste. Nice

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours an amber orange color. Small white head. Orange aroma. Flavor of red grapefruit and blood orange. Lots of sweet citrus bitterness. High alcohol is very well hidden. Tons of orange in this. Reminds me of an orange that is just a bid too bitter. Citrusy bitter mouthfeel

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 bottle, drank slightly below room temp. Whiskey like color with almost no head. Scent is orange and alcohol. Taste is similar, very heavy on orange, but also with some pepper, booze noticeable but certainly not in a bad way. Pretty good one to sip on.

Poured from a 12oz bottle from Manny57. Pours a nice caramel color with minimal head. Smell is heavy on the orange rind. Tastes of orange rind, some nice spices and a little hop character in the back. Tasty.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
really glad I got to try this before it kicked. On tap at the brewery. Poured a deep orange brown with a small tan head. Aroma was sharp citrus, sweet malt, and some bitter hop notes. Taste was much the same, big full malt throughout, some spice, sharp citrus zest, bitter grapefruit and some lingering sweetness. This was pretty smooth I thought and hid the alcohol very well. Really nice job here.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from trade. Pours hazy orange with little to no head. Aroma is a nice punch of blood orange. Really vibrant citrus notes here. Also getting a Hawaiian Punch vibe. Taste is soft, velvety with little carbonation. Blood orange again features nicely here with some barleywine traits coming through. Syrupy. Not getting a lot of the peppercorns though there is some faint spiciness in the background.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2013 Bottle. This is slightly less blood orange focused that some of the older versions I've had, however still quite good. Has strong orange zest flavor with grapefruit flavored hops (Amarillo?). Tastes sweet and smooth, with a nice crispness and booziness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours an expected reddish orange with medium white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is again, pretty predictable of red grapefruit (or blood oranges), oranges, spices (especially pepper), and a bit of mild wheat and yeast. Flavor matches well, unfortunately. I had a feeling this wasn’t going to be my type of beer, but thought I would give it a try to try to prove myself wrong. I wasn’t wrong dammit.
