Lore of the season captured in ale. A malty amber ale overtoned with slight caramel flavors and notable pleasant happiness throughout.

Golden/reddish with a white head - some caramel in the aroma - malt taste with some acidic/sour notes in the back - something wrong, but not undrinkable

Small offwhite head. Hazy deep amber body. Earthy caramelly dusty aroma with fruity papery spicy resiny notes. Dry-acidic fruity wild berry taste with wooden notes. Thin body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry-acidic wooden wild berry aftertaste with mealy spicy notes. Infected. (0.355l bottle, Schouskjelleren, Oslo.)

Bottle. Pours amber with a thick white head that retains. Nice hoppy grapefruit aroma--bizarre for an ESB. Flavor is sour milk--not at all what I was expecting from the aroma. Very strange beer I won’t drink again.

Hollywoodt (200) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Bottle. Hazy amber pour. Aroma was perhaps a little caramel and a lot of hops. The taste was fairly sour, and dominated by that and the hops. I like a lot of Short’s beers, but this isn’t one of them. Bleh.

Bottle @ home. Amber orange appearance with a cream colored head. Sweet, oddly spiced, caramel malty aroma. Flavor again has this weird spicy flavor along with caramel malts, toffee, and earthy hops.

14.10.2011. Bottle at Schoukjelleren, Oslo. Shared with Palme. Murky cloudy brown colour with white head. It looks like water abd dirt!. This is a sour beer. Aroma is sour wheaty with more sour flavours. Is this beer infected with some kind of bacteria or yeast? Flavours are refreshing and there are a lot of refreshing hops and sparkling flavours. Strange beer?
