Lore of the season captured in ale. A malty amber ale overtoned with slight caramel flavors and notable pleasant happiness throughout.

Bottle shared by Vic. Pours an amber bruin body with an off white head and decent lacing. Hoppy with hints of vine, grass, and light spices. A Bit herbal and definitely a bit spicy, could be lingering from previous ale. Herbal and hoppy, with a tropical vine y hoppiness as well as pine. Great.

(Tap @ Tuba Charliels Travelers Club, Okemes, MI): Pours a cloudy brown color, light brown. White head. Fruity aroma, maybe some hops. Hoppy fruity spicy, pumpkiny taste. Very tasty. Balanced aftertaste.

Probably my favorite of the Shorts line-up and one of the best amber ales brewed in Michigan. Nice chewy color with a solid craggy head. Maltiness, nuts, and a little tinge of hop in the aroma. Great mouthfeel, this is one thirst quenching beer. It really does capture the spirit of season.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark copper with a medium khaki head. The aroma was sweet apple pancakes with some cinnamon sticks. There was also some apple cider. The taste was caramel with some apples. A pleasant sweetness went with the entire package.

On tap. Pours a dark copper/amber color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, buttery. Flavor is caramel, malt, citrus, floral hops. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished on the sweet side. Very nice.

Pours amber and a little hazy yeast with a small light tan head. Aroma is light flowery but mostly herbal and earthy hops dominated by caramel, breads, toast, and various malt notes. Smells sweet but taste is quite dry and lightly bitter with some nice malt flavors. bit strange in the dryness and the malt aroma. It kinda surprises you. Nice and creamy mouthfeel and medium light body. Good to try. Not my favorite but a solid brew.
