3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crowler filled a few hours ago at the pub. Pours a dark golden with a slight haze, ample soft white head. Complex hop aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and pine; sweet malts. Moderate sweetness and a heavy, assertive bitterness. Medium+ bodied; the texture is creamy; carbonation is on the soft side of average, very strong bitter finish. Liking this one much more than the Huma Lupa I had last night, mainly due to the aroma and palate. The palate is better than most Short’s pale ale’s I’ve had, but the bitterness is extreme.

On tap at brewery. Big aroma of citrus, honey and sweet caramel malts. Medium amber hue with a little head that left some lace. Very sweet and bitter flavor. Palate is full bodied and oily soft. Very nice brew. Best I had there.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. barely a his when opened. pours a murky orange color, small white head. Nose is slightly malty with a lot of citrus coming through. Flavor is kinda sweet with a balancing hop bitterness and a moderate hope flavor. All similar to the nose. Would prefer it a touch drier. A touch of alcohol in the finish. overall, good, but not great.

Almost clear amber beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Palate is a little airy. Soft creamy malt, touch of lactose. Big resinous hops. Bitterish pine, little grass, marmalade. Finishes semi dry. Nicely joined up!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
4oz on tap at HopCat East Lansing during the Shorts tap takeover. Perfectly clear orange yellow color. Minimal off-white head. No lace. Very nice super piney orange grapefruit citrus aroma. Nice cookie-like, biscuity malt. Some caramel. Some bitter, sweet, and spicy taste. Imperssive, especially for what I assume to be an oldish IPA. Bigger body. Very light carbonation. Light stickiness. Awesome balance of hoppy malt aroma still. Really interesting DIPA

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft at HopCat in East Lansing
Pours a clear amber-ish gold. Surprising on the clarity. No real lacing to be seen.
Aroma is quite citrusy and just slightly bitter.
Taste is good. Very citrusy, with a good combination of bitterness.
Mouth feel is thick, but not overly so. Good dry, bitter finish, with a heavy citrus flavor left after a few moments.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the shorts taproom. Light copper mostly clear pour with a small amount of white suds on top. Strong Sweet floral and citrus hop aroma. Soft carbonation, average mouthfeel, slightly tingly and dry finish. Delicious juicy grapefruit and orange citrus and floral hop flavor with some definite bread and carmel malt flavor, additional to the regular humalumalicious. Great DIPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Hazy orange ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Good retention. The bouquet presents light, interesting, dried dark-fruit esters or oxidation (10 month-old bottle), intermingled with citrus fruit and sweet-floral orange blossom honey. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is violently bitter and rindy with an acrid bite. Lengthy, abrasive, acutely bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of FlandersNed!
