2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malt and clove on the aroma.
Golden color. Head dissipates quickly. Looks thick for the style.
Clove... Malt. Light. Bit of bitterness.
Palate is thin. Watery.
Overall an ok beer. Light. Easy to drink.... Not a lot of flavor. Malt on the finish is ok. Overall not bad but not impressive.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from mikem409, as "snow wheat". Thanks Mike! Pours an unclear golden orange with no real head. Aroma has bananas and cloves, light lemons, some earth and some malt. Taste is of sweet biscuity malts, lemons, some spices. Light to medium bodied. Finishes earthy sweet with light spicy tang. Shrug? Decent for style, the taste was not fully there. 12.3

Bottle from Drakes Party Center. Pours yellow with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Big banana and bubble gum on nose. Very pleasant. Lots of banana on tongue. Finishes clean. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Dan's. The pour is a little bit of a cloudy gold with a thin rapid fading head. The aromas are good on the malt and offer a little spice to go with it. There is a yeastiness to it and a little bit of dank hop presence. The flavor hits many of the same notes. There is a nice malty yeastiness going on. The mouth feel is a little thin, and there isn't much of a carbonation, but the lingeringly malty aftertaste is pretty good for a hefe

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap: Also known as "Snow Wheat" in the wintertime. Bright, shiny gold with a yeasty haze; no clarity. Disappoint head, kind of flimsy & fleeting, given the style. Aroma contains typically hefe yeast notes; rotten banana esters, clove, faint mint, apple skins, kiss of musty hops... It’s just a little thin & laid back than most. Big wheat flavor on the palate, soft with a timid graininess & heaps of pale malt. Yeasty once again, banana & clove esters with a mildly tart apple twinge mid-palate. Musty hope finish with more fading, bready & lightly spicy yeast. It’s a decent hefeweizen, but compared to others that are easy to obtain, it just doesn’t come close.

The Beach Wheat pours a crystal clear light orange with an off-white head that does not last long. The aroma is earthy orange and bread. The flavor is mild orange with baked bread. Overall this is a pretty average beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
*Copying my Snow Wheat review from BeerAdvocate, I didn’t realize that these were the same beer.*
Bottled 10/08/13. Poured into a shaker pint. Part of a $10 Mix-a-Six.
Appearance: Super hazy yellow color... can only see the shadow of my fingers behind the glass. Has a pretty bubbly head that goes away pretty quickly. Few bubbles remaining on top of the beer for only a few minutes. Absolutely no lacing. I really like the color of it, but that’s about it... rarely do I ever see a beer that looks completely flat.
Smell: A sort of sour banana taffy aroma almost, with a bit of caramel malts. I figure it’s the yeast strain giving that "twang." Not much else to speak of on the nose in this beer -- simple, but pleasing.
Taste: Like the smell, but the banana tastes sweeter and more fresh than it smells. Banana beginning until the end, when a bit of caramel adds a little something. Sweeter than it is bitter, but not terribly unbalanced at all. Aftertaste is banana with a slight spice and malt flavor on the back of the tongue.
Feel: Low/medium carbonation, and pretty thin mouthfeel. The thin texture of Snow Wheat doesn’t bother me as much as the low carbonation does -- I just expected a little bit more.
It’s a solid Hefeweizen that offers up plenty of banana. There’s a bit of malt and the tiniest amount of spice on the finish, but it’s a very simple beer overall. Could be a nice beer to session. It’s simple, and nothing exactly stands out in Snow Wheat, but it’s a good beer I’d have again.
