3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Nice hop scents, flavor is big time pine, big bite.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Murky, dirty orange-brown body, medium clumping cream head. Nose of grapefruit rind. Body of strong pink grapefruit rind with a light toasty malt backdrop, crisp, refreshing, and punchy. Very good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to pint (thanks mikem409). Looks good for the style; a transparent orange with foamy white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; hoppy with a lagerish backbone (and a bit of dough). Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at MBGSF 2013. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pour in tulip glass. Pour is a orange/gold color with a slight haze. Nice half inch or so white head that lingers to an "oil spill appearance" on top. Aroma is citrus, grassy, piney, sweet, with a hint of grapefruit. Taste is a smooth, light, hoppy, bitterness that lingers slightly. You can taste some pine/grassyness to it and is a clean, crisp, light, slightly dry ending, nowhere near the dryness of prolonged enjoyment though. Overall a pretty good brew

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color with a small foamy head that quickly fades, leaves some webbing. Aroma is very woody, sorta like cedar wood, with some flowers and orange citrus too. Taste is big on the woody forest taste with a hint orange. Light sweetness and moderate bitterness. Big pale malt taste is there too that you get from a good lager. Long dry, bitter finish. Overall, I like the woody taste but it’s also very overpowering. Very dry too. Would be hard to drink more than one of these. I’m starting to see many more India Pale Lagers now. Does a new style need to be created here? Unfair to compare this to IPA’s.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Pithy, citrusy nose, subdued and of rose stems. Flavors begin in a very mild manner, with soft herbal greenness, some gentle orange qualities, and some boozy, high floral tones, every so slightly Chinotto-like. I was hoping the bitter orange would translate this into something much more Campari-esque, but the bitterness is clean, green, and very sharp and pungent. A little odd, but then if it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be Shorts. The aroma and early flavor are very intoxicating and it’s super-flavorful for 4.5%, it’s just a bit harshly bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at the GTMW2013 preparty. Pours a pale hazed yellow with a small white head. Orange peel and zest on the aroma, with notes of pine, tropical fruit, some floral notes as well. Flavor is bitter, focused on resin and pine hops. It’s light, dry, with maybe a touch of bready sweetness. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation. Finishes dry. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at GABF 2012 in Denver. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big nose of pine and fruit. The flavor is a light refreshing brew with lots of bitter hops, light citrus, a bit unbalanced perhaps. Smooth. Green.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
this IPA had a clear light orange pour and it gave a one to two finger white head that receded to a thin cover and ring, the glass had a center stream that had a medium flow, it left nice spots of lacing on the glass, the bottom of the bottle had a layer of light brown sediment,
this ale had aromas of citrus, grass and faint pine hops, light toasted malt, orange, a little fruit sweetness,
there were flavors of pine, citrus and grass hops with light toasted malt, some orange fruit and very little sweetness,
the finish had a light hop bitterness that lingered on the mouth for a bit, and left the palate a little dry,
the mouth feel was light on the palate with a little creaminess and average carbonation,
a light IPA with pine and grassy hops, not big on the hops but enough to give some bitterness and to dry the palate.
