3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from my buddy Steve - thanks, man! Nice dark brown pour with a slight yeastiness in the body and some moderate carbonation. Soft toffee and toasted malts in the nose, with a bit more sharpness than one usually gets from the style. Pleasant body, easily quaffable, and the flavor has far more nuance than you often get. Nice hopping certainly helps, and it’s a decent brown overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Pours mahogany with a frothy beige head. Aroma is of malt, caramel, nuts, brown sugar, bread, and roast. Taste is of very heavy caramel malt. Lots of roast and brown sugar as well. Has a very tasty roastiness with a nice nutty flavor underneath it. Mouthfeel is very malty and creamy. I didn’t find the body as thin as some others have, though it is light. Lingering nut and brown sugar taste. Very easy to drink. As it warms, a lot more chocolate comes through.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy, yet light brown color with a 1/4 finger head at best. Aroma is lightly roasted caramel malts, but stops short of smelling burnt...and there is a sweetness in there that gives it a nice touch. Flavor is more robust than the mild flavor...roasted caramel malts, yeast, and some nutty notes. Starts sweet and turns more bitter toward the end. Good, yet not great. Palate is typical for a brown...a bit thin, but not to the point of being watery.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a dark amber with good carbonation and a very small head. Aroma is mild roasted malt scent. Taste is crisp and nutty. Starting with a lighter medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish jumps in with a nutty roasted flavor that has a touch of sweet to it, then a mild bitterness rolls in. After taste has the sweet coming back up. This is a tasty brown.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks ogglethorp. Pours a clear dark amber with a moderate beige head. Only temporary lace. Aroma is faint and short-lived, what’s there is lightly caramelized malt and a bit of carbonic sourness. Flavor is light caramel malt, just enough bitter flavors to balance the sweetness, but not really noticeable in there own right. Medium body, slightly tannic on the palate.
