3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle poured to shaker. Hazy, light gold. Moderate citrus. Pine and grassy. Hoppy at first, then the bitterness coats the palate.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Really dense, vibrant burnt sunburst & orange body, basically opaque; topped with a light-beige soapy foam that slowly settles to a film & collar leaving some generous lacing behind. Aroma is both floral & herbal with notes of grass, leaves, dirty earthiness, a touch of dank, & some bitter orange rind. A very light hint of toasty malt backs everything up. Flavor is intensified even further with a nice bitter hop flavor. Sharp grassiness, herbal spiciness, leaves, bitter floral notes, & a subtle, yet strong citrus pith & rind flavor that carries into the aftertaste. A little bit of earthiness & some dirty pine shines through at times with only a light hint of burnt crackery malts appearing in the finish. Mostly dry; sharp body & nicely carbonated. Finish gets more bitter with each sip. Just Shorts doing what Shorts does best.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pour, gifted from MI area friend. Cloudy amber in color. Slight foamy off white cream head. Mossy, fresh and grassy hop notes on the nose. I like the bitterness here - a very cleanly hopped IPA with good balance all round. Slightly resiny finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/7/2014. Pours fairly hazy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pine, herbal, grass, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, herbal, grass, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale! All around good complexity and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists moderate fruit, light lemon, orange peel, florals, and faint herbal notes. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a large white head that has great retention. There is a ton of soapy lacing left on the sides of the glass. I give very few 5’s for appearance, but this beer deserves one. The flavor starts with light-moderate fruit and a touch of lemon. The finish has light-moderate citrus, orange peel, and herbal notes. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, very session and pretty tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had this in a bottle from a liquor store I’ve never gone to before! Great for a hop showcase beer! Aside from a little too high background bitterness but it makes up for it in astounding hop character.
As Jim Carrey would say, I lak it a lot.....

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a pretty good pale ale. It just tastes like the one hop they’ve got in it. Nothing special but it’s not bad. I could get it again.
