3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Very aromatic with citrus and floral notes. Pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The sweetness from the malt is outweighed by moderate hoppy bitterness that lingers for some time, reminding me of orange rind. This is a crisp, refreshing beer with moderate carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, brought back from Traverse City by my buddy Steve – thanks! Great head on this one; a huge, fluffy/frothy off-white monster atop the dark golden body. Tons of sticky lacing. Nose is distinctly APA. Malty, light caramel, and dirty florals. Faint citrus. The flavor is sturdy malt base, more bready than caramel, and more of the dirty florals. An herbal vibe and it hints at being dry. Just a slight stray from the beaten path, imo, and it works out OK.

Disclaimer...not a hops fan...tasty, none to mild nor overpowering...a good example of something on the lesser side of hoppy

There are citrus hints. It is very hoppy and has a nice finish. It is not too strong, so someone that doesn’t like pale ales would enjoy it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The Chatterbox pours a mostly clear yellowish orange with a hint of red with a small ivory head that is fairly short lived. The aroma is bread, orange and tangerine. The flavor is toast with orange and tangerine. Overall this is a decent beer, but fairly average.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Afreind brought that one over to share: Hazy medium straw-orange body, thin off-white head. Bitter nose of grapefruit rind and flower petals. Nice, crisp, medium-bodied beer with floral, grapefruit rind hops notes providing a pretty good punch. not over the top on the bitters I kinda like this one.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Light amber color with a white, bubbly head. Citrus and a sweet dough aroma. Toasted malt sweetness in the initial flavor with a subtle, dry flowery bitterness in the finish. Sticky texture with average carbonation. Nothing wrong with this beer, just seems a bit boring from the good folks at this brewery.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12/20/13 bottling date. Poured 1/20/14. Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.
Appearance: Really, really gorgeous. I managed a perfect pour with this beer and it’s a thing of beauty with a thick, chunky (sounds attractive, huh?) head and plenty of lacing. The highlight is the super hazy orange color in the glass. Keep in mind I made sure to swirl around the last couple ounces in the bottle to get all that cloudy yumminess in my glass.
Smell: Decidedly hoppy, but the malt is in there enough to make this a hoppy APA rather than an IPA. Not sure of the exact hop notes I’m getting in here though. I suppose some sort of pineapple and piney, oily resin sorts of smells. Fresh. Pleasant. Not blowing me away, but it smells nice.
Taste/feel: The feel on this beer is of significance -- a surprising creamy, medium body with a medium amount of carbonation. A damn nice mouth feel not often found in a typical pale ale. The taste matches the smell a good bit, but with a bit more of a mango and grapefruit citrus flavor than pineapple. Slightly bitter hop aftertaste, but very pleasant and a perfect amount for a hopped up APA. If you have this brew, I’d recommend getting EVERYTHING in your glass/mouth to experience the best of this beer.
Actually really nice... I like this quite a lot. The pour is beautiful, it has a nice balance, the mouth feel is very good. I’m impressed.
