Pungent, though straightforward hop aroma. Light lemon-leaning citrus. Uplifting! A bit of haze in a ready-for-summer-golden-orange. Decent head, though quick-fading. A good amount of spicy field grass (not quite rye) balances the hops very well. This is a wonderful tasting beer! Spice maintains just the right amount. Quite impressive that a brewing that has mastered the hopcrushing genre with huma-lupa can do such an awesome balanced IPA to boot. And while I, for one, was alright with the hanging body label, I very much like the high road legal brief sticker on the front of this beer as welll.

On tap at Shorts. Really good flavor without being too bitter. Smooth. Best beer I tried in my flight of five.

Pours a dark amber color. Aroma is fruit citrus and pineapple with a severe hop presence. Taste is pineapple and hops, with hints of citrus and pine. This is a very hoppy beer with not a lot of malt to balance it. This is a great ipa bitter with fruits and a lot of pineapple.... Like more pineapple than I’ve ever seen in a beer ever.

I really like this beer. . . only wish I had a bottle of the orig. hanging frank.
Aroma is subdued grassiness built on sour mash, along with the citrus and pine that provide the foundation.
A bit cloudy, and doesn’t taste like it would look that way. .. but incredibly unique taste, so. . . .
Speaking of taste, I have to say this is one of my favorites. A really substantial IPA that is drinkable at the same time.
I particularly like the evolving taste-- starts at a bubbly grassy feel, then grapefruity and a sweet carmel. Finishes cleaner than you’d think with that much flava.
I like the slightly above average carbonation and substance to the palate. . . this does leave a bit of malty afterglow, but it clears quickly and cleanly.

This is a very nice beer. Much underrated. Clean and crisp. Hoppy yet not overbearing. Got this I Michigan.

On tap at MBG Harvest Festival 09. I have to say, this was the star of the show. My number one beer for the event! It was a great beer, with a lot of hops and tons of citrus flavor. It was a orange amber color with a white head. It had great body, not too heavy and not too light. I can see why this would be a spring beer, it’s just right. Quite tasty!

Pours clear deep gold into a Sam glass. Off-white conglomerate head with excellent retetention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Serious weed aromas. Thin with upfront sweet caramel turning to deep resin before a slight biscuit turn in the lasting resin finish. Aroma wins...

Had this in bottle many a times. Last time at Hopcat, I think I may have had a crazy verison of this, but I may have just been crazy drunk. The norm at Hopcat.
