Dr. Zeus is brewed with a combination of English Ale yeast and bold American Zeus hops. This combination creates a unique sharp nose of spicy herbs and tart lemon. Noticeable grassy and straw hop flavors, intermixed with slight peppery notes, outweighs the grain contributions from the smaller malt bill. An intense bitterness takes over, before leading into a dry finish.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is sweet malt, tropical fruit, thin pine. Appearance is lots of sediment, golden with a white head. Taste is...pine, bitter, an off putting finish, pretty much it. Mouthfeel is crisp but astringent, not too good. Overall, it’s drinkable but that’s as far as I’ll go.

12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a darker golden yellow with a TON of sediment that I'm a little surprised with. There was a larger white head that falls down to a thick collar. The aroma is different. I'm by a fan of these Zeus hops. There is a little spiciness that does mix it up. The malt is prevalent as well. The flavor is like bitter malt. It's definitely spicy, but it's wet hops, not good ones, and a spicy, bitter malt. It isn't great at all. The mouth feel is pretty decent, but the carbonation is lacking and it just falls apart on the back end. The aftertaste is lingeringly spicy malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Mostly clear light gold color and lots of particulate with large light tan head. Nose is white pepper, lemon, some white wine. Light body, dry with extra dry finish, and a good bite of hop bitterness. More pepper on the finish with a hint of grapefruit. Interesting brew, would love to see these hops combined with some topical aroma hops.

Thanks Adam. Hazy, golden orange body with a soft, white head. Grain, earthy hops, lemon. Malty and robust, given the <5% abv. Hop character is there, but not in the lead role. Biscuit, grain, earth notes with mild resinous bitterness in the back. Decent.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with a 1 finger foamy head that fades very slowly to a film and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is herbal and floral with some citrus peel and grass. Tastes brings in some pepper and spice to mix in with the herbal and light floral hops. A touch of lemon peel and melon. Bitterness is moderate. Dry, crisp finish. Tastes like an IPL or imperial pils but this is only 4.8%.

Bottle from BlowOffTube, thanks for the opportunity! Onion and peppery nose, a hint too sweet imho, but nice easy drinking brew.

Aroma: sweet, tropical friut. Appearance: cloudy, floaties, dark straw color. Taste: sweet, bitter. Almost has 9 volt battery taste to it. Strange. Palate: medium bodied. Overall: glad I tried it but not digging the English yeast. Might not get again.
