On tap: The aroma consists of heavy gingerbread, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, and pumpkin. It’s a transparent amber with a small khaki head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel, brown sugar, and light pumpkin. The finish has heavy ginger and light nutmeg. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a little too heavy on the ginger.

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Hazy orange-brown body, thin off-white head. Nose of nutmeg and pumpkin, same in body which is powdery, grassy, and not too sweet. About as quaffable as pumpkin beers come.

brownish orange pour, tiny bubbles for a head, somewhat lacy. nose of pumpkin, spices. flavor is the same as the nose, spice and pumpkins. medium bodied, sweet finish. pumpkin beers tend to be a one trick pony. this one is no different.

On tap at the Hopcat. Hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is very spicy with cinnamon, pumpkin, nutmeg and other assorted stuff I’d find in pumpkin pie. Taste is spicy with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and pumpkin. Stronger clove on the obviously spicy finish. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mattmc1973 (477) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Draft sample at the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Fest. Cloudy reddish brown with tan head. Smelled like liquid pumpkin pie...nutmeg and spices, pumpkin, sweet malt. Taste was sweet with medium creamy mouthfeel. Smelled better than it tasted, was a bit of a let-down on the back end. Decent pumpkin beer, though.

Had on draft at the brewpub. Beer seemed a little a little flat. But taste-wise, it was a nice pumpkin ale. Nice balance of spices.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 deyholla (4789) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 18, 2010
On tap at the Ashley’s Shorts event. Poured a near clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of spice with cinnamon and clove sticking out and a light backing pumpkin note. Flavor was heavily spiced as well with a good amount of cinnamon coming through. Lying underneath was sweet grain and a bit of pumpkin. Definitely a bit over spiced in my opinion.
