incutrav (489), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Jul 14, 2008 Another unique brew from Shorts. Didnt get a lot of ginger in this, but im not entirely sure I know what ginger tastes like? The rye comes threw though, and works with the weizen base. Fairly spicey afterburn; from the ginger perhaps? Tasty stuff. pnista (863), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jun 13, 2008 Thanks for sharing Yaniv! Pours a bright orangy yellow with a big white head. Big ginger and astringency in the nose. Fruity with light vinegar and not a ton of character. Big creamy mouth, slightly viscous. Big creamy gingery astringency. A bit of spice, a bit of fruit. Lingering toast and spice. Maybe the spice has some rye? I don’t know, I cannot taste rye precisely here. mkobes (2015), New York, USA May 16, 2008 Bottle. Straw yellow in color with a little white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Lemony citrusy hoppy oregano aroma. Grassy spicy notes. Malty yeasty flavor. Coriander notes. Finish is spicy Medium bodied. Very drinkable. Nice beer. golubj (947), Redwood City, California, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle, thanks to puzzl for sharing. Light copper with an off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, grassy spices, and bready malt / rye. Flavor is the same, grassy spices and yeast, more rye malt, and slightly vegetal mouthfeel. Eyedrinkale (3091), Beer Town, New York, USA May 14, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Puzzl. Aroma has some bubblegum and lemon. Great looking beer with tons of lacing. Flavor is similar to Schneiders Hopfen Weiss. Peppery without much ginger. Decent wheat beer though.
