3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 KickInChalice (851) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2012From notes. First reviewed 1/31/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
The color of the beer is walnut brown, with a ruby tint in the edges of the glass. A creamy head with an eggshell hue forms initially, eventually fading to a ring and leaving a little lacing on the glass.
I am not really getting any dry hopped aroma. Roast malt, some molasses, and dark fruits - fig and raisin mostly, but a very modest aroma.
Molasses, plums and figs introduce the flavor up front, followed by some roasted malt and soft nutty flavors. There is a light citrus and spice kick at the end, but there is just not much hop presence here.
Good Humans is lightly sticky but mostly clean. Medium carbonation and a medium body.
I was expecting a dry-hopped brown ale, and I got mild dark fruit and much hop presence. Maybe this was just a bad bottle based on the other reviews, but there was almost no hop presence.

Bottle @ Sticky floor tasting II. Opaque muddy brownish color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, hops, lightly sweetish hoppyness with a nice bitter finish. Clearly a brown ale with a lot of hops. A bit weird but not bad.

Bottle shared @ Dean’s Sticky Floor Tasting II. Pours hazy chestnut with a thin white head. The aroma is light, and I find it hard to describe - there’s a sweetness and a grassiness. Taste matches the aroma

Tiny hints of black pepper. Warm alco sensation. Medium to full bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Bitter finish with more caramel malts.
