3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from mikem409, thanks Mike! Pours a muddy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is lightly dark fruity, certainly sweet with brown sugar and caramel. Taste has peat and is very sweet; brown sugar, caramel, some molasses. Medium bodied. Finishes sweetly malty with a touch of late peat. Shrug? Somewhere between a scotch ale and a brown, not great. 13.4

It’s like everything.... But in the same thing... One of those rare moments when it really is good to be human.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with minimal head or lacing. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and alcohol. Taste of coffee notes, chocolate notes, and floral hops. Reminds me more of a porter or stout than a Brown but a decent beer.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Moderately dark brown/amber appearance, small eggshell head on aggressive pour. Nose is coffee, chocolate, toffee with mild floral hops and some boooze. Taste is way less hoppy than I was expecting for a dry hopped imperial brown/american strong ale. Booze, chocolate, and floral notes on palate. Finish is a bit off sweet. Not what I was expecting, but drinkable. OK, but would not buy it again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky brown, neat ringed eggshell head. Musty spice, wee bit burn. Neat brassiness throughout, hops are a bit dusty but let’s the malt sweetness gasp through. Fairly flat, creamy and a little bitter bite towards the finish. Linger is neat spicy sweet. Bottle.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, brownish copper color, with a modest hat of tan, froth & bubbles, and spots of lacing. The aroma intro was very earthy, with a fleeting, vegetal hint, roasted scent as cocoa, then toffee & caramel sweetness. The taste was similar, and moderately bitter, with a medium body, fair carbonation, somewhat hidden alcohol, and a touch of wheat or flake-like creaminess that livened the mouthfeel. Improved nicely after the questionable start.
