Goodnight Bodacious has the maltiness of a barleywine and the hoppiness of an India Pale Ale. A rich, hoppiness dominates the aroma, with earthy and loamy scents. A medium body presents big, bitter black barley and roasted coffee flavors, with subtle compliments of dark fruit and green hops. Strong alcohol flavors and pleasant warming qualities become more noticeable as the beer approaches room temperature.

Barwa: czarna, nieprzejrzysta nawet pod światło. Piana beżowa, średnio pęcherzykowa, niezbyt obfita, szybko opadająca. Wysycenie niskie. Aromat: czekoladowy, lekko palony, charakterystyczny dla ciemnych słodów w zestawieniu z chmielowym. Bardzo przyjemny i kuszący. Smak: wytrawny, na końcu słodki, przechodzący w gorzki. Akcenty gorzkiej czekolady i alkoholowość.

This BEER tastes like cat pee and smells like cat pee. It's even better with the lights off. The cat pee is prevalent. Four out of five. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from trade with umich03jm. Big thanks, Jason! Pours nearly black with a beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee with a hint of pine peeking through. Taste is dark chocolate, roast, coffee - balanced with floral, pine hop. Pine hop bitterness lingers through the finish.

Bottle to pint. Pours very black with brown around the edges. Pours like a stout. Aromas of cedar, barnyard and almost a sweet burnt rubber. The body is medium with good carbonation. Good toast notes. Coffee is the predominant flavor on the palate with a nice bitterness at the end from the hops. There is a strong alcohol component at the end. The finish is slightly dry. Which is welcoming. Overall a very nice beer. I could drink a few of these.

Just to clarify, this is a Double Black IPA (which I forgot to mention when I uploaded the beer into the RB database). Looks good; pitch black with nice head. Smells pretty good too; hoppy and malty. Tastes like it smells, only better. Nice on the palate too. Pretty good stuff!

Citrus of a normal IPA but with a very, very faint smoke in the back. Black as night, looks like a stout. Citrus and hops of a normal IPA, but the finish is peppery. Good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Courtesy of Derek for this... Pours deeper cherrywood reddish stouty pout, lesser intense at the eyes and topped with a thin film of medium khaki head... Aroma of a pure smooth amalgamation of piney citrus fruity profile while still being equally measured with a moderate cocoa roast forwardness. Both seem to balance each other nicely... Favors are equally the same with more of a solid earthy body offering. Hops stand tall but intermingle well with the roasted cocoa notes. A lot more balanced than a lot of the darker ipas seem to be. A touch boozy and phenolic on the backend but solid all around where there is a nice balance between malt and hops - big but a nice flavor profile nonetheless.

Bottle from Suchy3! Pours black with a nice slight tan head. Big, fresh hop aroma with a nice roasted malt balance and a bit of bubblegum on the back. Taste is fresh grass, citrus, bubblegum, roasted malts and a slight hit of chocolate. Everything really comes together nicely on the palate and lasts for awhile. A very well-rounded black IPA with a slightly hefty ABV that doesn’t get in the way.
