Very refreshing with strong grapefruit flavor and some nice spicy hop flavor. Has a relatively light malt body some slight resinous / pine finish.

Aroma is grapefruit, sweet, somewhat piny, a touch light. Appearance is straw gold, white head. Taste is smooth, somewhat light, balanced between hops and grapefruit. Pretty bitter and dry finish. Mouthfeel is nice, sweet, not too carbonated, nice easy drinker. Overall, it’s pretty good stuff but I expected the grapefruit to come out more. Anyway, worth a shot for sure.

Bottle, thanks mrebeks. Pours a very cloudy pale orange with a small foamy head that fades to a ring and leave nice soapy lacing. Aroma grapefruit juice and grapefruit rinds. Also has some flowers and crackers. Taste like juicy grapefruit juice without the tartness. Peppery and spicy in the finish. Some cracker/bread malt is present too. Delcious stuff if you like grapefruit.

Grapefruit really comes through in this one. Blends well with flavors of citrus hops, moderate caramel and hints of wheat and pepper. Very refreshing beer. Shorts knows their IPAs.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 First had on tap at Michigan Summer Beer Fest. A huge want for me for a long time. It definitely lived up to what I hoped it to be. My perfect style. Has a nice citrus hop aroma. A very clean taste. A light refreshing hop flavor upfront with a grapefruit flavor following it up. A crisp hop tingle is left to linger. Extremely drinkable. Another great IPA by Shorts.

Sampled at GTMW2013. Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, some citrus zest, touches of caramel and resin. Lots of dank hop notes. Smells great. Flavor is very bitter, with touches of grapefruit, pine, citrus zest, citrus peel. Nice, medium bodied, lively carbonation. Finishes long and bitter. Another killer IPA from Short’s.

Bottle:   Darker straw, slight orange, hazy, thin to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft dank nose, real dank.   Subtle pith and peel.   Somewhat of a dirty hop flavor profile.   On the citrusy side, citrus peel and pith.   Not bright, and not all that sweet.   Or should I say, could use a little more sweetness.   Falls off kinda fast, leaving a slightly grainy backside.   Body and moutfheel are moderate.   Decent amount of bitterness without being lop sided, but lacks the right amount of sweetness to really make this balanced.   Does seem to have a bit of grapefruit like presence towards the backside.   Thanks Kevin!

Draft pour on tap at GTMW 2013 (Madison, WI). Pours a nice welll hazed golden hue, good murky pour. A frothy offwhite creamy head atop dies to a firm layer, laces and sticks around. Aromas are grapefruit, rind, and juice. A bit of Amarillo, lemon, and gumball. Some decent presence, gentle bready sweetness. Initial is firm big grapefruit juice presence. Bitter and juicy, some tasty rind, firm bitter and juicy hop presence. Nice bitter, dry, and rind driven. Middle is firmly bitter and grapefruit driven, big juicy presence, touch of fruit, floral. Really nice dry bitter juicy finish. Truly grapefruit driven.
