3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle. Pours a slightly hazy, bright, bold ruby color; light pinkish head with mixed-bubbled lacing. Pleasant, mixed fruit and strawberry bubble gum in the aroma; I really enjoyed the nose on this: solid, lightly sweet, genuine fruit aroma; quite unique. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: solid carbonation; lots of blackberries and strawberries at the front; seeds, stems, and light tannins; solid mixed berry presence with nicely reserved sweetness; overall, though, I’m not totally taken by the fruit character, and it does (I’ll credit Stine here) have a strong, pervasive mineral character that, while balancing out the mouthfeel, doesn’t ultimately add much; drinkable, solid fruit presence, but unremarkable. Just, solid. Medium finish: toasty malts, pitty blackberries / raspberries, and some lingering mineral bitterness; ends balanced overall.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy red brown colour with a lasting, slightly pink head. Aroma first delivers raspberries, then some strawberry and a little malt and yeast in the background. (Too) sweet fruity flavour with a little tartness and a touch of drying tannin improving the finish.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ Kolding Shorts Tasting, 18.09.08.
Pours a great, ruby red with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has clear, great notes of berries. Especially blueberries and raspberries. Pleasant dry mouthfeel, low carbonation. Flavour is very nice, good fruitiness. No trace of the alcohol. Light fruity tartness. Incredibly elegant beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. [Drikkeriget Grand Shorts Imperial Series tasting, thanks to Jeppe for another great session] Average beige almost reddish creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Muddy amber color. Aroma of Mixed and complex notes of sour berries with mild notes of strawberry and blackberries. Also picked up notes of vinegar and citrus with some underlying malty base. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated acidic flavor with good counter sweetness. Quite well balanced between the acidic and sweet notes. Sour fruity somewhat lingering finish. Unique but not as unique as some of the other beers in the Imperial Series.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep caramel-brown body with a weak head. The nose is a bit cloying, with cherrys and vanilla- and i see it as an early summerevening with humming bees in a oppressive warmth. The taste is a bit like a kriek or a framboise without the freshness and sourness but still with some bitterness with a sharp vinegar-like finish. The palate is dry and so are your tounge afterwards.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks Kevin! Nose is an abundance of fruit--strawberry, raspberry, cherry, blueberry. Flavors is also very fruity with a bit of alcohol thrown in though it blends pretty well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very deep coppery pour which releases a very fruity nose. Flavor was sweet, sticky summer fruits...strawberry, raspberry and cherry. OK and drinkable, but a touch cloying for my taste.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 750mL Bottle, #325/1005. Courtesy of CharlesDarwin. Mostly transparent, blood orange flesh tinted amber pour with a firm layer of tight bubbled, off-white head. Fruity nose of blueberry skins, raspberry juice, and strawberry seeds. Hints of rye spice. Herbal leafy notes and faint pineapple esters. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Very herbal, with a substantial amount of leafy and strawberry seed flavors, making it a bit astringent. Notes of under-ripe blueberries drift in toward the finish, along with some warming alcohol. A bit thin and pithy in flavor overall. There isnít much malt depth to help round it out and the fruits arenít very robust. The aroma is pleasant, but the fruit depth doesnít translate well to the palate. Thanks, Tom!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL Bottle. Faint fruitiness. A touch of caramel. Subtle and mild. Pours an ambered haze, with a golden fringe. A rim in whitish. Flavor is sweet and piquant in alcohol, strawberries, and spice. Fruity. A bit chewy. Not as complex as I would have expected. Salty. A little jam in the flavor. Itís not bad. A little dry and bitter. Dry and clean for a fruit beer. The seedy bitterness puts me off a little bit. A nip alcoholic. Middle of the road. In the end itís just a little too plain for something thatís supposed to be so intense. And itís not that Iím not appreciating subtlety or nuance, this beer just doesnít get that deep and doesnít really have any other attractive non-flavor qualities. Thanks Sean!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle acquired in trade with hoppymeal (thanks!). Bottle # 228/1005. Poured a medium to deeper and muddy reddish/purplish/brownish color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of lots of different berries (strawberies, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). I would get a different berry every time I sniffed. The berries were done nice! Tastes of the same berries with some light rye bread in tehre as well. Light tart finish. Good thing I like all the types of berries in this one.
