2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours reddish and hazy. Aroma of fruits that is quite a mess. Wine like and not like beer. I’m not really impressed and it is not loaded with any malt like flavor. lightly boozy and a slick mouthfeel. not great.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to bigmmartin. Aroma is sweet malts. notes of fruit are in there, but I also get a sourness, and some yeast. Palate is light for 10%. Flavor is a little tart, but in a good way. Very different, but I would expect anything else from shorts.

Bottled 75cl. Great inviting fruity nose with blueberries being most present. Overly sweet taste. The alcohol is very well hidden. I liked the aroma a lot more than the taste. An interesting beer.

Bottle 9.6 oz from Allen, thanks ! A cloudy reddish brown beer with low head. Smell is nicely perfumed, good fruit nose. Aroma is relatively dry with blueberries notes, blackberries notes are low for me. Not too acid good fruit combination, just less complex as expected. Quite heavy yeast notes for a 2007 bottle, nice malt presence anyway, alcohol is quite properly hidden.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
from erzbierschof.ch - cloudy reddish-brown colour with a poor foam left; a very fruity and pure nose where blueberries dominate; notes of strawberries and blackcurrants too; light notes of vinegar bring a nice combination; sweet and slightly acidic, medium to full malt backbone; juicy palate and with a moderately dry finish; some lingering acidity in a long and deep fruity finish (blueberries again) - sumptuous

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml graciously left by Derek at our condo. My wife loves soft parade and I’d assume that she will enjoy this one too... Pours a muddled dark cherry brown with a frothy barely off-white head... Soft Belgian yeast profile supplemented by various berry fruits. Perhaps some apples
and strawberries as well... Flavors don’t stray too far off with a prounounced Belgian yeast profile and semi-sweet yet a little tart red fruitiness. A little bit of a boozy note on the backend. Somewhat lively carbonation with a thin to medium body. Not bad but wouldn’t be able to choke down too much.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle from the brewery (Bellaire, MI). Pours a murky berry reddish hue, some rich brownish copper notes, well carbonated with a creamy beige head that dies to a good film, laces ok. Aromas are a melange of berry fruit, strawberries and blueberries stick out with raspberries, preserves, mellow rye bread and a touch of toffee. A bit cakey and biscuity on the nose, quite appetizing with a touch of vanilla. Initial is medium bodied, a bit fizzy on the tounge, lively berries with lightly bitter tannins. Strawberry puree, blueberries are mellow, a touch of tart blackberry. Caramel, toffee, biscuits, smoothed out, medium bodied with a decent cakey and biscuity sweetness. Lightly tannin bitterness, slight hop, a warming booziness. Quite a flavor enhancement of the base recipe, lively fruitiness but restrained to let the rye and biscuity malts take over, light tannin bitterness and light hops, smooth toffee and vanilla. A nice beer here by Shorts.. Big with an interesting berry take.. I liked this more than regular Soft Parade.. If you are gonna do it, you do it like this.. Not half it. A sipping summer beer.. Sweeter, but nice on the palate

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crystal clear, rose-red with a slight head that gathers on the sides and dots the glass with lacing. A burst of berries come to the nose, sweet and sour. The palate is very clean and smooth. Light in body. Dry finish. The flavor is tart up front, but sweet in the middle. There is a grassy/dry bitterness in the end. This is really nice. One of the better fruit beers I’ve had. The alcohol is very well masked. Enjoyable!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of markwise. Pours pinkish with fizzy white head showing off ruby red hues here and there. The aroma is spicy, lemon, sweet juice, floral perfume and a bit of sour funkiness. The taste is punchy with some spice and citrus and then it gets tempered by red berry flavor cotton candy. It ends sweeter with fresh berry juice notes. Interesting stuff.
