COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
• Sexy penetrable fruit intensity for the experienced and novice
• Beer Type: High Gravity Ale fermented with blueberries, strawberries and blackberries

Imperial Soft Parade is a gourmet specialty pour that is brewed with toasted rye flakes and two-row malted barley. Loaded with pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, we refer to this fermented potion as a fruit infused rye ale. The result is a refreshing fruit delicacy that’s easy to drink, appealing to look at, and finishes dry.

757 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear red colour (w/o yeast)/Murky reddish brown (w yeast) colour with small light tan head. Berries, strawberry, cherry, winey and malty aroma. Winey berry flavour with malt, hops and alcohol. Alcohol warms quite a lot. 10% wasn’t unnoticeable.

Thanks to FlossmoorBrewAlum for this one in trade. Pours berry red-pink with a bone white head. Nose is berry pulp, booze, and some acetone. Flavor is similar with noticeable strawberry, raspberry, and blueberries along with heavy booze. Medium bodied and every bit of 10%.

High gravity beer offers an intensity of taste and appearance. The passionate mauve coloring, and the smooth taste disarm the drinker but without the dissipation of similar big market beers. Soft Parade has a medium sweetness that compliments the full body experience, ending with a long finish. Very enjoyable beer that is one of the best premium brews offered by Short’s.

12oz bottle scored via trade. Pours a hazy, translucent, purply red with a thin, creamy white head. The aroma is very surprising, tons of berry, actually juicy smelling, strawberry, raspberry, grape jelly, leafy vegetables. Flavor is berry jam, raspberry cobbler, grape jelly, strawberry, with a distinct alcohol presence, some sweet malts too. Finish is medium bodied with a touch of tartness. The nose is great, the beer could have more of a malt backbone to stand up to all the other flavors.

deyholla (7587) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 February Circle City Tasting. Poured a hazy reddish orange with a slight brown hue and minimal head. Flavor was full of sweet fruits including strawberry, cherry and a bit of blueberry with a slight tart undertone. Flavor had the same berry flavors and was sweet, but was balanced by a hint of tartness and alcohol.

MI2CA (1340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Sampled at Feb 2010 Indy tasting - Aroma is loaded with berries, fruit roll-up and Wonka Runts fruit candy. Flavor is sweet berry candy with a real sour fruit back. Palate is sticky and tart. The berry flavor is so strong and overwhelming, I just couldn’t get into it.

Bottle from the free table at Woodshop 5.0. Pours a light muddy brown color with a smallish beige head. Striking berry aroma/flavor with blackberries and blueberries especially. Additional notes of caramel, chocolate, and dark bread crusts. Alcohol is undetectable and I was shocked to see this was 10%.
