2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tasting at Papsoe
Hazy golden color; creamy head. The rosemary aroma reminds me a roasted chicken more than a beer. It seems a very solid Ale, with good malt, some sweetness, good hopping, unfortunately the rosemary (spruce) is so out of place. 10 years ago, following an ancient recipe, I brewed a beer with rosemary from my garden, it was undrinkable. Controversial, and I decide for thumbs down, as I did 10 years ago.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Huge amounts of spruce on the nose. Some lemon too. Orange golden pour with a thin head. The flavor is very sprucy with lots of fresh bitterness. Almost bushy. Some lemon makes its presence felt too, but the spruce coats the mouth and does not leave. Like chewing on a tree. Super dry. Very interesting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with hoppy notes of grass. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and spruce needles, leading to a dry grassy finish.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy golden with a dense off-white head leaving laces. Very fresh piney aroma. Medium-bodied with lightly sweet pale malts. Distinctly bitter and astringent finish. An odd one, interesting but far from harmonious. 311008

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark amber, creamy white head. Blasts of evergreen and spruce aromas rest on swirls of citrus and wet pine needles. Flavor is a bitter sappy spruce bite from beginning to end. Did I just drink a tree? Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Thumbs up for being unique. I like it, but don’t know how often I could drink it…

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
shorts smagning med klubben. Det er nok den bedste i aften. Uklar gul/orange med et hvidt skum. Masser af "natur", gran nåle, skov, harpiks, rosmarin, sødt med masser af humle. Guf guf!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Shorts tasting with The Club +a few. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Smells of rose hybs and spruce. Extremely bitter but very well balanced by a strong sugary sweetness. Strong hoppy aromas. Also aromas of eldeberry flowers, spruce and some wood and resin. Low carbonation. Medium body. Bitter finish with a hint of warming alcohol. Best of the Shorts tasting.
