COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pub Brew. entucky Common (4.25% ABV, 50 IBU) is a southern style dark brown American lager brewed with flaked maize and rye. The nose is full of yeasty grain aromas with some delicate sweet roasted notes. Despite it’s dark appeal, the body is surprisingly light with pleasant malty attributes of caramel and cocoa. The finish is clean with a touch of bitterness.

Growler: Thanks, Tyler. Muddled brown, swampy looking with a soapy, gray-tinted head that bubbles up & disperses on top. Smells just like you’d expect a dunkel to smell... Toasted rye bread, fresh grains, very mild cocoa powder, & a touch of cookie dough. Very light, laid back. Taste is similar with a steel-tinted caramel, mild rye, unsweetened cocoa dust, bready yeast, & toast. Thin bodied. Overall, not the best or most exciting dunkel out there, but easy drinking & decent.

Draft at the brewpub, Bellaire. Hazy red-brown body, thin clumping beige head. Herbal, bitter nose, toasted cereals and spicy floral notes. Toasty body, bitter with burnt sugars and sharp grain and husks. Nutty, bitter, and sharp. On the dry side.

On tap at the brewpub. Nice dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Nice grain and roasted malt in the flavor and the aroma. Crisp, clean lager finish with light bitterness. Another one of Joe’s beers that’s tough to categorize, but easy to drink. More dunkel than schwarzbier.
