COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Key Lime Pie is made with fresh limes, milk sugar, graham cracker, and marshmallow fluff. The prominent flavors are immensely sweet, then tart, with subtle hints of graham cracker coming through in the nose and remain on the back of the palate. Key Lime Pie is a Gold Medal Winner at the 2010 Great American Beer Festival.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 07/29/16. (Econo Foods) Marquette, MI. Slightly cloudy reddish brown color with a tiny head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor is... Downright horrible. Super bad! Down the drain. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell is weak, citrus and sweet malt. Dark golden brown. Description is right on. Long finish but wet. I’d different. Couldn’t drink many.

Amber orange. Nose if limeade, cracker malt with more citrus. Flavor is pale ale with heavy lime zest. Not getting it, but not a drain pour.

12 ounce bottle. Pours golden brown with an average beige head. Some floaties. Aroma of citrus, malt, and graham crackers. Taste is lime, graham crackers, malt, and grain. Interesting.

Bottled. Pours with floaties which the brewery assured me is normal for this beer but not really starting out on a great first step here. Smells tart with almost a hint of metallic to me. Not too sweet or tart, tad bit of malt with what I think is the marshmallow fluff? It’s okay but I wish I didn’t buy a 6 pack.

Bottle: Pours bubbly amber with a quick, off-white head. Wheat, some graham cracker, lime aroma. The taste has the elements of key lime pie, but they’re all muted.....it never gets to that correct ratio of crust, lime, creaminess..... Not bad....but fails to deliver, ultimately.

I was expecting this to be overly sweet, and to get sickening after just 1. I was wrong. Fresh tart key limes and the subtle texture of liquid pie crust delight the palate. Had this on tap @ The Tosa Tavern, Whole Foods Grocery store. Alcohol and shopping, it’s a winning combination!

Sour aroma, reminds me of a Belgian sour. Copper in color with a small head that disappears quick. A sweet taste out of the gate but finishes sour instead of bitter. I would opt for Short’s Strawberry shortcake instead.

Bottle that Lopez hooked me up with after work (thanks brother). Deep golden-brown pour, medium off-white head, decent retention... and oh yeah, there’s the gummy remains of a fuckin marshmallow floating in it... or a spider laid an egg (tragically) in the bottle. Limes are in the nose, plus some malty caramel and dost I detecteth graham crackers in thou bouquet? Mouth is medium bodied, malt sweetness and some crackery notes (graham crackery to be more precise) with key limes in there as well. The finish is desert like, followed by a lingering note in the aftertaste that I can only describe as reminding me of a flavor from Copenhagen snuff (which I dipped both in and out of uniform for many years). Yeah. Shakespeare wouldn’t write about it. But I did. Not bad, but definitely not something I’d be interested in committing to a whole six pack of. So double thanks, Lopez.

Dark amber, darker than expected. ARoma is tangy caramel and a wine like thing. Same in taste with earthiness. Not that great. Overpriced novelty.
