Pours a mostly translucent orange amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of ginger, hints of lime, other random spices. Not really like key lime pie, except maybe the crust. The flavor I was getting again the ginger, maybe some marshmallow and a touch of lime.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at GABF 2010. I donít like Key Lime Pie, so I went into this beer expecting the worst. Dark brown pour. Aroma of lime and graham crackers. Flavor is dead one. Lots of lime and marshmallow, graham crackers, pie crust. Delicious. Great mouthfeel, good carbonation. Shortís is putting out the best most experimental beers in America.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tuesday Tasting sample thanks to grownfool. Off white head over a caramel orange body. Aroma is marshmellow, lime. Taste is key lime, more marshmellow, not really making me think key lime pie.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to RBlaszak for sending me this bottle.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. (I was hoping the beer would be green, oh well.)
The aroma is limes with some tartness. I also get some caramel and bready malt.
The flavor is very nice (but I am not sure if I am really tasting these components, or just imagining that I am after reading the label). The first taste I get is tart limes, but I also get some honey and bready malt - aka - graham crackers. I also get some creamy notes which taste about like marshmellows. The flavor has a nice mix of sweet and sour that I am really digging. After reading the label, I think I can pick out each of the components. If I hadnít read the label, I am not sure what the result would have been.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
One of the best Shortís beers that I have tried. I love this brewery and hopefully I will get to try some more of their beers.

Bottle. Brewed with marshmellow, lime, and graham crakers...wtf?! Only Shortís woudl be so bold as to under take such a beer, I like it. Pours a dark orange color with minimal head. Lime notes big time in the nose along with some underlying graham cracker notes. So the taste is, lets just interesting. Soft sweetness covers the palate with the lime and sweet flavors taking centerstage. I want to imagine eating key lime pie as I drink this and this comes as close as any beer Iíve ever had. Curious as to what the base beer was for this. Not really sure how to describe or rate this beer. Medium/light mouthfeel. Glad to be abel to try but not sure I could drink a whole lot of it.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy brownish color and medium head. Citrus aroma and taste, with emphasis on sour. Enough hop bitterness to avoid a "soda pop" or "dessert" taste.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. The fruit beer pours a medium amber copper color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, sweet, lime and bready. A medium bodied fruit beer. The quick description of this beer is that it taste just like Key Lime Pie, semi-sweet lime, graham crackers and whip cream. Malts are fruity, sweet and lime. Nice carbonation. Amazing. Weird for a beer but it works. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at GABF! Just didnít get this beer...hazy tangerine pour with a small ivory head. Aroma of citrus and just a hint of lime. Flavor again shows citrus and a bit of lime but not tasting the cream, crust, or meringue. Pretty light body...probably the most disappointing of any Shortís beer.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Got this one from my Kuhnhenn Mead hookup. I would give him e shout out by name but I donít want you to steal him from me :)
A: Pours a nice golden orange with a very small whispy head. No retention or lace.
S: Aromas of light citrus and mild lime zest. Mild sweetness beneath with hints of cream and bread.
T: The citrus is there but it is not at all biting. Hints of lactose sugar, crust, and a dash of half and half. Creamy and smooth, but I wish it had a bit more of the bite that key limes pack.
M: Rather mild in carbonation. Smooth, but pretty still on the tongue.
D: Pretty good. It was a great shot, but it fell a bit short of hitting the mark. I love that Shortís experiments like they do. Some are dead on, others are a bit off. This one is the latter.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to badnewsbeers. Pours with a a hazy orange body and a scant off-white head that fades. Aromas of lactose, yogurt, bitterness, lime zest and grain. Taste is dairy, sweet, lime, hay, and grain. Decently reminiscent of a Key Lime Pie, as far as a brewed beverage is concerned. Lightly metallic. Creamy finish. Very interesting. Medium bubbles. Very drinkable as well.
