Bottle thanks to WeisGuy, 01/29/2012. Caramel amber pour, little head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, caramel orange, spicy citrus. Taste full of grapefruit hoppiness, orange zest, long bitter finish. Palate is medium, slight resinous feel. Decent double IPA, nice bitterness, but a bit more pop in the flavors would make it really great.

Bottle dated 12/06/11. Pours a cloudy caramel color. Creamy of white head. Very nice lacing. Strong grapefruit aroma. Tons of bitterness, however with enough offsetting sweetness to give it very nice balance if that is possible for something 300 IBUs. Palate is thick but no super sticky. One of the most intensely bitter mouthfeels I’ve experienced. Wow, this is really good stuff. One of the best DIPAs I’ve had.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of mikem409 - Pours a hazy amber color with a half finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus and floral hops. The flavor has a little more lemon to it. Finish is fairly bitter and a little astringent. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Mike.

Pleasant flowery hop aroma, with a touch of citrus. Pours a hazy orange-amber, with a thin, quickly fading white head. Nice chewy malt presence, leading to a full mouthfeel. This is not a beer that will slam you with the hops, this is one of those rarest of things, a balanced IIPA. The finish is long and bitter, with grapefruit notes coming in. This is a delicious, well balanced IIPA.

fresh bottle from Champagne Cellars. Opaque grapefruit coloured body with a small retained white head, leaving lots of lace behind. High IBU aromas, akin to hop pellets. A cup of grapefruit juice, funny how the zest brings it to the forefront. Hits the style, Tingling palate. Very drinkable.

12 ounce bottle into tulip, bottles 12/06/2011, so pretty darn fresh. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with great retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some fairly nice lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big orange zest, grapefruit, pine, caramel, lemon, floral, and spiciness. Great aromas with good balance; definitely a citrus bomb. Taste of big pine resin, caramel, orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, bread, and big spiciness. Gigantic amount of bitterness on the finish that lingers forever. Notes of caramel, grapefruit, pine, spices, and orange linger on the finish as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with hardly any warming noticeable after the finish. Overall this is a very nice and interesting double IPA. A bit too over the top on hop bitterness, but this is a nice one to sip on, and is loaded with citrus and pine flavor.
