A light bodied, heavily hopped, amber colored lager with predominant hop aromas of tropical fruit with compliments of sweet malt. The sole hop, Falconer’s Flight, has characteristics of dank earth and grassy hay-like flavors are balanced slightly by some full grain attributes before a big bitter shock strikes the back of the pallet and resonates sharply.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber. Big off white head. Strong aroma of pine and grapefruit. Lots of lacing. Tastes much more like an IPA. Very very hoppy and I usually like that, but this one seemed all bitter and nothing else.

Bottle pours a deep copper with red hues. Nice fluffy off-white head lingers then recedes to a cap. Aromas of dank pine, earthy hops, floral notes, grassy notes...light sweet breads...and a mild alcohol note. Taste is bitter hops...notes of grassy, floral and dank pine. Mild breads, light caramel malt calms the hop forward assault. But the finish relinquishes another round of bitter hop bite. Solid fall camp fire beer!!

12 oz. bottle from Brandon. Thanks dude! Bottled 9/29/14. It pours a rather dark hazy amber color with a creamy, but disappearing off white head. The aroma is pretty dank and piney with some pineapple, plum, grape and hints of syrup. Super hoppy. The flavor is heavily bitter and a bit syrupy with tons of pine and hop spice with some cough medicine, red fruit and a mildly astringent, grassy bitter finish. Definitely more of a big red IPA than a Vienna. Pretty brutal on the palate, but the flavor is pretty decent enough.

Big hoppy lager. Fresh bottle from Champane’s Cellars. Brilliant though not super drinkable. Good hop aroma.

This poured an amber color with a white head. Aroma was of fruity and grassy hops and toasted malt. Flavor similar, definitely going towards an ipl. at this point.

This states on the bottle it is a heavily hopped amber lager, though it is described as an IPA on this site. Amber/orange in color with a lasting lacing. Light citrus hop aroma. Comes across in the taste too. A bit of the citrus comes through in the hops upfront too. Ends with a more malt back (though hops lingers throughout even after the malt is gone. It does taste more like an IPA, despite the bottle’s description.

Semi-clear amber colored beer with beige head. Nose grass, caramel, white pepper, oranges. Medium body, very smooth, initial caramel sweetness balanced with grassy, and grapefruit hops, finishing with slightly dry hoppy finish. Impressively balanced and drinkable, very delicious and impressive.

Sweet caramel, toasted grains, grapefruit, orange zest and lots of citrus hop bitterness. Good malt presence but this is unmistakably a hoppy beer first. Lightly herbal notes. Medium bodied, aggressive carbonation and crisp citrus finish.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Bottled 9/29/14. Orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Toasty malt, pretty spicy earthy hop, pretty assertive and tingly on the back end. I suppose that’s what they’re referring to as that "big bitter shock... resonates sharply". Indeed it does, it’s a little bit uncomfortable. Huge citrusy dank resiny hop that I start to appreciate more 1/4 the way in, after my palate has a chance to acclimate. Heavily hopped is right. This thing must be 100+ IBU. Or is that just the stronger carbonation confusing my palate? Huge bitter taste, light sweet, and spicy taste. Liking this more and more as I go though. It’s definitely not a swigger. Full dark grain aromas, hints of chocolate. Medium plus body. Kind of soft crisp relatively stronger carbonation, and dry finish. It’s sort of a smooth texture, but rough with the extremely assertive flavor. Interesting, huge stuff. I came around to it, once I realized what I was dealing with. Very unique and unexpected.
