COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Localís Light is a light, yet very tasty lager. The light pilsen malt creates a soft and subtle flavor profile that finishes crisp and clean on your palate.

Localís Light is a perfect beer for the seasoned craft brew enthusiast and someone new to microbrews. When Shortís first opened, there was not a great deal of craft beer available in the area. Joe Short wanted to create a beer that would appeal to new craft beer drinkers who lived in Michigan, and introduce them to the complex flavors of other beer styles.

Hazy straw color; Light to medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, cereal, some floral, & citrus notes; Flavor of slight sweet malt, cereal, corn syrup, and light hops/grain; Not terrible - but meh.

Bottle courtesy of my friend Lance. Thanks! Straw yellow with a short, fizzy white head. Aroma is corny and sweet with light grassy notes. taste is also corny and sweet with light fruit and grass. Body is light with a soft, prickly carbonation. Ends with more corn, sweet malt and light grass.

12 oz bottle more recently and draft at Shorts from notes. Pours a clear pale yellow gold color with a medium sized white head. The flavor had corn, grainy malt, grass, lightest hint of a general fruit, not much of an aroma, sure itís better than BMC stuff but still no reason to have this again.

From bottle (6/16/15). Beany noble hops, sweet with no flaws in the nose. Darker medium golden amber clear with moderate head. Medium body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts moderately sweet. Nice malt flavor with noble hop character. Light to moderate bitter finish and smooth after. Light carbonic fizziness.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2015 Cream ale-esque frothy head, corny sweetness. Minus those attributes it could have been okay. Overall, it is gross, almost undrinkable.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy gold pour with a thin white head. Light, almost non-existent aroma of grass and hops. Very light flavor. Pretty much like drinking nothing. [9/11/15]
