4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into oxbow snifter. Pale orange with a small white head that is gone before you put the bottle down. Smell is juicy hops, slight cracker, and grain. Taste is more along the lines of an APA rather than a lager. Juicy fruity hops, solid grainy malt backbone, and just the right amount of bitterness. Short’s rules! mmmkay?

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2013 Bottle: hazy goldenrod with a creamy eggshell head that survives as a swampy film for a while; spotty, wet lacing. Aroma is bursting with citric hops. Mild grapefruit, light tropical notes, tons of orange, and a bit of lemon peel. Slightly peppery & piney hops. Taste is decidedly hoppy and nicely bitter. Lots of citrus notes, orange and grapefruit peel & pith all over, borderline herbaceous pines and leaves. Dry, bitter finish with the lightest touch of cracker malt. Very nice beer, but you’d never know it was a lager. Makes for a damn good & bitter "session IPA", though.

A solid beer by what Shorts does best. A really good lemon and other citrus flavors are packed in this hoppy lager. Can definitely drink these beers in multiples.

Another brew thanks to Another6Pack. Thanks again Trent!
It has pale in the name but it’s quite good looking. Maybe an 18K gold with a 1" head of foam and loaded with lacing.
LOL! Okay, who dropped a pine cone into my glass, swished it around, and removed it before I could catch ’em? THE piniest beer I think I’ve ever smelled and it’s not even an IPA.
Pine Pine, pine away! 5%abv with so much flavour of pine, and it’s a Lager! Tree-mendous.
Medium bodied, medium carbo, nice mouthfeel.
Okay, this surprised me big time and I’m digging it big time. What a treat! And there’s even a bit of a malty touch way in the background.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had on-tap at the price of $6 for a 24oz pour at BoatWorks in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
MMMKAY is a light amber color. A slight, somewhat creamy head. Mostly good lacing, though it tapers off about halfway through the glass. It smells and tastes of hops... really tastes like a light IPA or something, which isn’t a bad thing. There’s a significant hop bitterness throughout each sip, so this is a good choice for the hop heads, for sure. The hops in this are really grassy, with a sort of citrus flavor as well. MMMKAY is a super solid beer, but it’s nothing that blows me away, as there’s nothing about this beer that stands out and puts it above anything else. Another tasty brew from Short’s.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft in pint glass. Initial hit on the palate says "IPA" and finish says "lager." Hoppy on front side and smooth on the finish. Very good.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very strong citrusy nose. Watery as a very first taste but gets very hoppy quickly. My guess is west coast hops.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear gold with a medium head an amazing lacing. Aroma is hoppy- big citrus, cigar tobacco, cannabis, and something of a coriander note. Flavor is big hops- again with the citrus, but with burned toast, fennel, and a pronounced yeast character, with a touch of band-aid funk. Becomes startlingly bitter, which works with the initial sweetness. Mouthfeel is oily and much more lingering than I would expect of a lager. Very nice brew, very cool that it’s from second-runnings. Thanks mikem409!

4oz on tap at HopCat East Lansing during the Shorts tap takeover. Awesome bigger orange citrus hoppy aroma, with a good caramel malt backbone. Mostly hazy orange amber color. Minimal off-white head. Bigger body. Smooth, light carbonation, more dry finish. Bigger bitter taste, pretty spicy. No hints of lagerness. Awesome big bitter hoppy IPL. Flavor of a 7-8% beer. Huge bitter hop flavor. Impressive stuff.
