3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pitch black pour with a medium mocha head. Nose of roasted malts, and coffee. Taste follows the nose and has a fair amount of even balance. Maybe even a hint of mint. Not bad.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark thick coffee black with a big creamy dark tan head. The aroma is smoky, that’s what I get for the most part, but I enjoy it. The flavor has notes of smoke and roasted sweet and bitter malts on a smooth and creamy delicious body.

12oz bottle courtesy of Secret Santa (JCB). Pours very dark brown and appears black in glass with one finger tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, molasses, and roasted malts. Flavors of bitter roasted malts, coffee, some molasses, and chocolate. Finishes dry and bitter. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Not great but still flavorful.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle thanks to my good friend raveskdr. Poured a pitch black, tan head. Aroma was sweet, strong, bold malts, chocolate, caramel, molasses. Very dry, bitter chocolate and malts. Alcohol is most certainly present, as there was a fair amount of alcohol burn on it, but even then it was highly drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thin black pour with minimal head. Aroma holds mostly coffee and a touch of biter oat. Not too complex on the nose. Flavor is equally unimpressive, with some bitter roast and bad coffee. Pretty bad really. Also thin. Meh.
