4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
If you donít like MORE FLAVOR, donít drink Shorts. This is one of the best spiced wheat beers Iíve ever encountered. Pale yellow and fizzy, just a little cloudiness, very deceptive. First aroma is the coriander, then the citrus, my mind turns to - winter holiday. Flavors start with lemon drops, then lemon grass, then lemon sour. Refeshing for a hot summer day. Rich candied malt on the tongue. And itís NOT overcarbonated like other wheat beers, so you can actually taste it. Iíd pay big money for a double version.

From a bottle. Lives up to its name, definitely spicy. Quite light, and refreshing. Not my thing, but interesting.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle in trade. Pours a pale orange with little to no head. Smell is lime, coriander, overripe melon, and wheat/grain. Taste is a bit funky (not in a good way) again with the honeydew melon, lime, and malt. Thin on the palette.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/13/2013. Pours very hazy bright golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, peppercorn, coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, and earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and spice notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange zest, pear, wheat, peppercorn, coriander, bread, floral, and herbal earthiness. Lingering notes of citrus zest, wheat, peppercorn, coriander, bread, and herbal earthiness on the finish; with some peppercorn heat building up as well. Nice and pleasant balance of malt and spice flavors; with solid robustness and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid spiced wheat ale. Solid robustness and good balance of malt and spice flavors; and very smooth to drink. An enjoyable offering.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I sat on it a while so maybe that helped it out a bit. I wouldnít buy another one though.

Much lighter than I expected. Very subtle peppercorn, light lemon zest and slight bitter finish.

Hazy orange with ehite head.
Orange peel aroma, yeast, spice.
Taste the same. A grape fruit bitterness. Soft carbonation. OK. Interesting. Refreshing.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
7/3/13. 12oz bottle thanks to breau! Clear orange pour with a small off-white head. Light oranges in the aroma, thin, a bit of soup spice. The flavor follows suit and the mouthfeel is watery, almost NA-like - basically carbonated kool-aid. Meh.

Tap at the brewpub.
Anemic apple juice pour. Similarly thin aroma with some porpourri. A bit of soft pepper in the flavor. Gentle sweetness.
