COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark black lager with bold roasted malt and faint citrus hop aromas. Robust flavors of burnt cocoa and roasted espresso barely give way to some mild orange and grapefruit hoppiness. The light body and crisp nature of this unique lager allows for a showcased bitterness that seems delayed at first, but builds to a powerful finish.

12 oz. bottle from shrubber85 - thanks again, Roger! Pours a cloudy brown with a small beige head that leaves some bubbles within the film and ring. Notes of toasted malts, dry grains, dead leaves, earth, burnt sugar, and a little hockey puck-like rubber. But just barely. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, roasty mouthfeel. Good schwarzbier that I wish I’d been able to open sooner.

12oz bottle, big thanks to phaleslu for sharing. Date on the neck is a bit rubbed off, but it appears to read 6/25/14. Hazy dark brown red color. Thin off-white head. Leaving good bits of lace. Medium plus body, good chewiness to the texture. Nice cocoa nib, dark chocolate, some mild coffee. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Kinda dry finish. Very nice schwarz. Never mind the age... There’s just a touch noticeable, but still super-solid

12oz bottle from gimmethefunk, thanks Pat. Poured a light black body, medium density, larger foamy cola tan head. Aroma of light chocolate, well done toast, hint of coffee beans, some roadted citrus. Flavor of bong water, earth, dirty citrus. Medium to lighter body with soft carbonation and a watery mouthfeel overall. Interesting for 4%.

355ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 30-01-2015.
Botled: 08-2014.
In short: dry bitter dark beer.
Pours very dark with frothy tan head. Moderate to long head retention, some lacing. Roasty and coffee aromas. Light body, average carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is very dry and bitter, chickory flavours. Really dry finish, even some harsh. Not my cup of tea.
