COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is a Double Belgian IPA brewed exclusively with Galaxy hops. The nose is an impressive blend of citrus aromas reminiscent of guava and lemons. It also has subtle Belgian yeast esters. An intense, clean bitterness dominates the flavor profile, with little malt character to compete with. A fruity yeast sweetness is noticeable in the finish, alongside a resounding bitterness.

Bottle. The pour is a little hazy vibrant orange. The aroma is nice sweet hops. The taste is top notch. Hops bring out a nice pleasant hop profile. Clean finish. One of my favorite from Shorts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle: Aroma is a pungent fruit hop texture with tropical fruit the most prevalent. Appearance is a cloudy orange pour with a thick white head that lingers around for quite a while. Taste is very tropical fruit hop forward, not really bitter, sweet with a almost fruit beer quality. Belgian yeast is noticeable, but it’s really tasty. Palate is fruity and somewhat clean. Overall, I don’t know what the last review was talking about. This is an enjoyable beer that surprised me. Cheers!

Seriously? Who likes this? This is just harsh, hot alcohol, bitter, hoppy nothingness. Slightly citrus flavor but after that, it looses any sense of definition and just remains a harsh bitter beer. Not good at all, and I generally hate giving any craft beer a bad review.

a lovely brew - pours a copper golden color with a simultaneously hoppy and bright yeast nose. malt and orval notes sit above an intense liquid. no brett but this exhibits complex character, almost enough to question if this is some sort of dry-hopped and rebottled orval. i hope this stays on as a regular from Short’s.

Aroma: faint scent of stale dog fart. Got stronger as the brew warmed to room temp. Taste: over salted rotten deviled eggs (but I enjoyed it very much) Palate: like you just huffed a fart. Overall: if you like farts you will like this beer! I highly recommend this offering.

Bottle… Pours hazy and peach-colored with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma offers a mélange of citrus and tropical fruits and peels flanked by whispers of both pine and phenolic, farmhouse spiciness. Full-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. The flavor furnishes a boatload of citrus rind and pith bitterness. Heaps of it. Finishes crisp and bitter… b-i-t-t-e-r! Draft sampled at GABF 2014 with Andrew, Mel and company. Pours a light golden orange body with white head. Aroma is fresh citric hop and fresh yeast. Mouthfeel is soft to medium-bodied with notes of citrus fruits, pine hop, yeast, lemon and tangerine.

Bottle from trade, thanks Jason! Pours orange gold with a clingy white head. Aroma of orage, tangerine. Slight caramel to the malt sweetness and bitter orange peel hop. A bit of tangerine sweetness. I wish I could give this a 4.2, but it’s not quite that good.

Bottle compliments of Ned, pours hazy orange with small slow white head. Notes are cream sickle, tangerine, orange sHerbert, malt, and cream. Really interesting brew from shorts. Lots of bitter hops, tastes like the southern tiers from 08-09. Thit.

Bottle: Pours hazy amber, small off-white head. Pine/grapefruit peel aromas...semi tropical. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, sweet orange/tangerine. Almost a slightly cooling menthol edge to it. A very good Double. I wanted to make some cryptic Hitchhiker’s Guide remark, but Shrubber85 beat me to it....Oh Belgium!!!!!
