3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from MikeM as part of a free beer contest. Thanks man! Pours hazy orange with a very small ring of white creamy head. Aroma of oranges, grapefruits, mango, pineapple, and a hint of Belgian yeast in the background. Smells very sweet. Vegetal raw hops are the first thing you taste, yummy x Flavor is sweet orange rinds, some light grapefruit and mango, and interesting dry Belgian yeast finish, and then lingering orange rinds and grapefruit left on the palate for a good while. Bitterness is very present on the way down. Big, heavy, and slick with medium carbonation. This is pretty unique and very nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle In a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma strong of fruity and citrus hops, some Spicy yeast, and pale and caramel malts. A really good blend of the hops amd Belgian style. Average texture. A good beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle bought at Champanes,
this ale had a orange pour with a touch of haze, and the pour provided a two finger off-white head that receded to a thin cover and a sticky ring,
there was some spots and small fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass, there was no sediment in the bottle,
there were aromas of pine and fruit citrus hops with a little herb, orange fruit, faint guava fruit, light bread malt in the background, some malt and fruit like sweetness,
it had flavors of resin and pine hops with a little malt and orange fruit, it had some malt and sugar sweetness,
the finish had a big hop bitterness, there was little malt afterwards and the hops left a bit of a bitterness that hung around a bit,
it felt thick on the palate, the mouth feel was about medium, and the carbonation was soft,
this beer had big hops on the nose and mouth with little malt, it was a nice hoppy drink.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
this one poured a light orange color with an off white head. ARoma was certainly all galaxy hops, fruity, and garlicy/oniony too. Falvor was similoar, a bit of the belgian type flavors come through but mainly alcohol and tons of galaxy. Pretty darn good IIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottling dateís scratched off, but this was bottled recently. Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint.
Appearance: A golden color with two fingers of an off-white head. Very slight haze to it. Some great lacing. I donít often review a beerís label (sometimes I get beer on draft), but this is just another fantastic bit of art by Shortís. Itís pretty simple, but definitely eye catching. Pretty awesome, no doubt.
Smell: Iíve never had a Galaxy only beer, and Iím not even sure Iíve experience Galaxy hops before, but I get quite a bit of clove (or coriander?) with a bit of Belgian funk and citrus rind.
Taste/feel: Well, not being the biggest fan of clove/coriander, I donít love this beer as much as I wanted to, and itís just not what I had expected really at all given the style. Itís slightly Belgian, I suppose, but I guess Iím just used to those walloping Belgian IPAs brought on by Brewery Vivant. A floral spice (like clove) is the first thing I notice, then it turns into a sweet sort of citrus, and by the end thereís a nice malt balance. This is still a very good beer, and I donít find that floral sort of flavor over-powering, so this is something I really enjoy. Not NEARLY as bitter as I was lead on to believe it would be. Gargle Blaster slowly grew on me as I worked my way down the glass.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 12oz. bottle supplied by mikeme409. Many thanks! To tulip, it pours a golden amber orange with a trim, sudsy white head barely a fingernail in length. Aromas of limeade, hibiscus petals, lavender, mangoes, Australian hops, bay laurel, and vanilla beans. Tastes of everything described with the addition of bitter orange peel, farmhouse yeast, orange blossom & bosswood honey, and sea salt by swallow. An explosion of limes, hops, and crystal malt. Damn fine.

Pours a dark orange amber with little head. Smell is sweet malts and fruity tropical hops. Taste is mango, passion fruit, pineapple, caramel malts. Slightly sticky mouth feel, but nothing more than I would expect from a dipa. Nice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 10/2013. Pours moderately hazy bright orange amber color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, peach, guava, pear, tangerine, lemon zest, citrus rind, clove, pepper, floral, grass, bread, light banana, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of peach, tangerine, pineapple, pear, guava, lemon zest, citrus rind, clove, pepper, floral, grass, pine, light banana, light bubblegum, bread, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine/floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus rind, pineapple, peach, guava, clove, pepper, light banana, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop, yeast, and malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly slick, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great balance and complexity of hop, malt, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
