kmweaver (1899), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA May 9, 2008 750mL bottle, #165/820, courtesy of General_Gao. Thanks, Colin! Pours a hazy, peachy-amber color; light khaki head with solid retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of peachiness, fruit cocktail juice, and peach skins in the aroma; pleasant, generous fruit character with a touch of creamy vanilla. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: creamy vanilla and peaches, fruit cocktail, peach skins; some tannic character coming through from the skins, potentially (thanks, Ryan); not a lot of alcohol coming from this, unlike my co-tasters; very tasty, with an excellent, unique fruit character. Medium finish, showing breadiness, dough, and lingering peach juice.
TURDFERGUSON (1099), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle shared by eclectic at BCTC. Thanks Kevin! Pours a golden, hazy amber with a small tan head. Nose is peachy, spritzy and creamy. Flavor is equally peachy, more cream, and some light hops. Finish is sweet and surprisingly, mildly bitter. Yes, at the same time. acrdz (4228), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 Sample from a 750ml bottle... cloudy copper colored body, hazy, with a tan colored head. Very nice color, soft and attractive. Soft, creamy and prickly nose, yeast and fruity mostly, some marshmallow soft pillowy yeast esters all over the aroma, while the flavor is more rich, thick and pasty, with dry oranges, melon and peach skin. Sticky and thick, overall quite delicious. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 11, 2008 Bottle thanks to BrianK for sharing. Pours a light orange body. Aroma is peaches and some creamy yogurt. Flavor is strong bozzy peaches and intensely sweet. I couldn’t finish my glass to sweet. BrianK (67), New Jersey, USA Jun 9, 2008 Opened on my 25th birthday. Annoyingly sweet. I give this beer credit for it’s very original concept but this one needs improvement. This beer is alot better the first few sips you take, but as you work your way into the glass it gets worse and worse. Not worth the money. Glad I got to try it though. Dickinsonbeer (2505), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 8, 2008 750 ml bottle at Briank’s 25th. Pours a deep peach, copper color with a thick lasting head and some lace. Aroma is nice at first, solid peaches and cream - creamsickle, and especially peaches and cream yogurt- then gets a bit dusty, too sweet and a bit wierd. Flavor starts out the same with the first couple sips- all nice and exciting, but it gets real old and tiring, to me not wanting anymore. Lots of fresh peach flavor, some thick syrupy sweetness, artificial sweeteners, aspertame-like, with more skin astrinengy, tannins, alcohol comes throuhg as it warms which gets annoying, and a wierd slighly harsh finish. I wasnt crazy about this one and for $20+ definitely not worth seeking out.
