• Cream softness fused with the delicacy of prunus persica
• Beer Type: High Gravity Golden Ale brewed with lactose and fresh peaches

Peaches and Cream is a high gravity, golden ale, fermented with lactose and fresh peaches. Joe Short used this eloquent bi-line to describe the beer’s flavor profile: “Cream softness fused with the delicacy of Prunus persica.” We used a half pound of real, fresh peaches and approximately 1.5 ounces of milk sugar for every gallon of beer produced.

Peaches n’ Creme was originally brewed in Bellaire on April 25, 2007 and was the 301st batch of beer brewed at Short’s. It was the 12th beer of the 13 beer Imperial series. The Imperial label artwork was created by Fritz Horstman, which also got carried over for the artwork used on the 6 packs.

12 oz. bottle received from RamyG4, thank you kind sir! Pours a dark orangish-gold with a nice white head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of light peach and some cream waft from the lip of the glass but not much else. The flavor is very nice, true peach flavor (sweet, earthy and tart) come through over a traditional Golden Ale backbone and cream/butter textures dance around these flavors. This is a big beer and it shows it in the mouthfeel; it’s heavy and thick on the tongue and a beer that has to be sipped to be fully enjoyed though the flavors make you want to drink it fast. Overall this is a good beer in a style I rarely drink. It shows a lot of promise after missing on the aroma. Definitely a beer to drink at least once.

Pour on tap, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big white fruit with apricot, peach, some biscuit, bready notes into a bit of vanilla, hints of slight spice notes in there as well. Taste was a mix of peach, white fruit, some spice into a bit of vanilla, some bready, biscuity notes, finishing sweet.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2015 Bottle: Crystalline shade of copper & orange; beaming & topped with a thin, wispy white head. Great nose, pretty pure & inviting. Sweet peaches macerated in their own sugar water. Fresh, sweet, & carried by a mild undertone of light, bready malt. Hint of lactose sweetness. Full of peach flavor as well. Sweet peaches, lactose, residual sugar, pale malt; syrupy with a hint of tartness that transitions into a strong, finishing sweetness that coats the palate. Silky body. One bottle is enough, due to the high sweetness, but it’s quite a treat. Tasty, definitely a sweet tooth beer, but much more deft execution than some of their other fruit beers (Soft Parade, Key Lime Pie, etc.).

Pours murky orange amber. At a year and a half old you still get some creamy peaches in the nose and on the tongue. The light tango of peaches on the tongue brings pleasant sweet peach notes on the nose.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden with slight tan head. Aroma of chardonnay, peach candy and some burnt sugar. Taste is very sweet peach candy with some slight milk character. Not a huge fan but OK.

12 ounce bottle from jtclockwork. Thanks! This beer’s 200th rating! I’ve been wanting to try this for some time. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of sweet and tart peaches and toasted malts. The taste is sweet peaches, faint toasted malts and the lactose really comes through. Medium bodied, and delivers exactly as promised. Cool!

Poured an amber color from the 12 once bottle with aromas with light peaches and some lactose with some light malt. Flavors are the same, light sweet peaches with some lacto. An interesting beer that worked for the most part.

Bottle 750ml @ My parents
Pours cloudy deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, peaches, alcohol and milk. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm and peachy finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of peaches, some lactose, a good amount of caramel and pale malts, and light dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. The alcohol is hidden well but the flavor is too sweet.

Name deScription are spot on. This one was pretty good. I would have liked it to be a bit thinner.

Really cloudy orange pour with thin white layer of head, spotty lacing. Smells like sweet peach juice, sweet grass and floral hops. Low carbonation, viscous oily mouthfeel, bitter astringent finish. Very strong flavor, sweet tart peaches, and heavy sweet malt, pert bitterness. I will stay away from this one. Perhaps an old bottle?
