3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 3/13/12 and poured 9/29/12
Appearance: A murky yellow color with a thin head that leaves surprisingly decent lacing.
Smell: A very light hop aroma... maybe even a bit of wheat-like smells as well.
Taste/feel: As expected, mild. Drinks a lot like a light beer. The biggest thing about this beer that I donít care for is that instant it hits the tongue. It feels like carbonated water, and thatís really it. But once the taste comes out, itís not too bad. Thereís a decent bit of hops and even some spices in there. A very mild aroma and taste, but thatís whatís expected with this style. It gets better as you get to the bottom of the glass, but still a pretty ordinary beer -- would make a GREAT beer for Summer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
21st April 2012
Very hazy gold beer, good white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. A little seltzer minerals before decent yellow grapefruit hops. Whisper of peach and tropical fruits. Crispy finish. A fine Pilsener and if there were more like this I would drink them more often!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from my buddy Steve. Nice vibrant pour, pale gold and well carbonated. Nose of mild fruit, traces of corn, and very understated hops. Mouthfeel is nicely lively, slightly peppery feeling on the palate, with an only modestly dry finish. Brighter and more fruity than a lot of the pilsners out there, and thereís a sustained ripeness owing to the pronounced grain and corn in there. Nothing comes across as overly chewy or artificial; tastes too fresh for that. But itís just not quite the flavor profile I crave when I crack a pils.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a big foamy white head. Yeasty aroma, bready and sharp, with grass, malt, a hint of lemon. Taste of yeasty bread, with malt, hay, and a hint of flowers. Lingering earthy yeast flavors that ends with some watery bitterness. Decent pils.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to pils glass. Looks solid; a semi-transparent gold with white head and lively carbonation. Smells solid too; doughy with some hop notes. Tastes like it smells, but lacks and pilsner snap. Average (at best) on the palate. Alright for the style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fairly clean nose with a touch of sweet malt. Taste is lightly sweet, some honey, touch of cotton candy, water cracker, some fresh floral and grassy hops, pinch of lemon. Excellent, best Shorts beer today.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small pour on tap at Brickhouse BBQ (Madison, WI). Pours a richer golden yellow pour, gentle to growing haziness. A frothy whitish head dies to a small ring, laces small overall. Aromas are gentle corn and mellow cereal malt sweetness, dry earthy hops, bit of spice, and straw. Some grass, dough, and some touches of dryness grow on the palate. Initial is lighter end of the fold bodywise. Touches of mellow sweet malts, some straw, grass, gentle earthy hops. Kisses of corn, bready and cereal malts, a bit of spice. Bready, a touch grainy, cereal. Middle is corny, raw sweet malts get a bit odd. Backend and finish offer a bit more dryness, grass, earthy hop bitterness and scattered spice from the hops. The middle loses me a bit but the beer is fairly solid overall, a touch sweet at times but really brings it home as far as some nice dry and bitter earth qualities in the finish. Not bad.
