Trade with Silphium. Session IPAs always raises questions with me. This one have a great hoppiness and bitterness. Balanced sweetness in the nose, but not in the mouth. Overall lacks body, but I get the concept on this one and like it.

Not sure why this is so widely appreciated; I found it to be watered down with grassy / piney hops and a weird marshmallowy taste. This beers palate just couldn’t seem to agree and provided a clash of flavors.

Draft at Reno’s East (from notes). Really light and starts off with some nice citrus and a little pine. The flavors all quickly fade though. Really good for a super low ABV session beer.

It goes some places, but not all the way. Citrus and earthiness, dry finish. Lacks a good maltiness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Prolonged Enjoyment pours a cloudy tangerine orange with a small off-white head that leaves minimal lacing. The aroma is citrus and the flavor is equally citrus. Overall this is a decent beer, especially for a session beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Extra tossed in on a recent trade. Wow this one surprised me. Pours a nice hazy orange with a decent head that leaves some lacing as it goes down. Smell is peaches and tropical fruit... Really nice. Taste again follows with the peaches and slight citrus. Palate is super clean and slightly dry. Great sessionable IPA.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/21/2013. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of hop notes with a fair malt balance. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Moderate floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a decent malt balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish as expected at 3.5%. Overall this is a highly excellent session IPA! Lots of hop flavor with nice complexity and robustness; and very smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home, acquired via trade. Pour is hazy orange with a small white head and decent lacing. Huge weed and ganja aroma, almost oniony/garlicy, grass, and straw. Taste is weedy, bready, doughy, resin, pine needles, straw, and biscuit with a medium bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. The hops can be overbearing at times, but a decent session APA.
