3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12ounce glass at the brewpub. This pours a ginger hue and has a very small ring of white. The nose is very grassy with wafts that are noticeable from a distance. The first sip is also grassy with bigger bitterness than expected. Carbonation is light. There seem to be west coast hops and some noble hops, as well. There are citrus and sulfer notes that come mid glass. Just a dash of caramel adds light sweetness but this is dry. It is very nice. I have extra admiration for a brewer that can extract flavor and character from a low ABV beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, mango, and grapefruit. It pours sort of a transparent golden-orange with a two finger white head that fades to a soapy film within a minute or so. Thereís some spotty webbing left of the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with quick dose of grass and herbal notes. The finish has lots of grapefruit, light pine, and just a hint of sweet citrus. Itís light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I wish the flavor mimicked the citrus and mango aromas. Regardless, itís a nice light and sessionable IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at GABF. Pours a nice looking gold with a white head. Nose is really bright. Lots of citrus and herbal notes, clean and fresh. Some earthy malt sits in the background as well. On tasting, quite hop forward, fading into more of an earthy place. Bitterness is on the soft side, bit thin on the palate with a nice hop flavor. Pretty solid over all just lacking a little umph.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Pours mostly clear golden-yellow-orange in color with a one-finger white head. The aroma is hoppy and very fruity, with mango, citrus/orange, and pine. Dry and hoppy flavor with average bitterness. A bit of sweet malt and a great complex fruity hop character. Medium-bodied with a good level of carbonation. Overall a really good beer, especially considering the low-ass ABV.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Dank fresh orange-scented strong hop aroma. The body at 3.5% is quite good I think. The hops start working their juices and push out pine and resin and citrus. I do get some styrofoam and dusty pellet hop gunk in the flavor, but generally itís decent. Shorts does have a very distinct house hop flavor that edges seedy to me sometimes. Rather bitter and dry, which works at this low gravity to give you something to sip at a low gravity. Definitely enjoying the hop level at this gravity, but I think the profile could use a little tweaking.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at GABF 2011. This beer sits bright golden in the glass with a white head. Big, grassy hoppy aroma with very mild malt sweetness. Flavor is crisp and hoppy, little malt backing whatsoever. At first it seems a bit odd as the mouthfeel is quite thin, making it come off as almost like a hop soda. The hops come off piney and grassy. This is certainly different, however considering the low ABV Iím going to have to bump this up a few points. Iíd really like to try this again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle. hazy amber with small head. aroma of citrus and tropical fruit pulp, with just a touch of sweetness and bitterness in the finish. flavor is very nice for a session ipa, and the abv is pretty shocking. nice and grapefruity with some nice bitter notes...dry finish. crisp, refreshing, and fantastic if 3.5 is really what this is at

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home, acquired via trade. Pour is hazy orange with a small white head and decent lacing. Huge weed and ganja aroma, almost oniony/garlicy, grass, and straw. Taste is weedy, bready, doughy, resin, pine needles, straw, and biscuit with a medium bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. The hops can be overbearing at times, but a decent session APA.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/21/2013. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of hop notes with a fair malt balance. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Moderate floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, grass, pine, light honey, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a decent malt balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish as expected at 3.5%. Overall this is a highly excellent session IPA! Lots of hop flavor with nice complexity and robustness; and very smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
