COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prolonged Enjoyment has a huge earthy hop fragrance of green grass, pine, and citrus fruit. The sweet, malty flavors are met quickly by zesty American hop characteristics. This India Pale Ale has a light body but is packed with extraordinary bitterness. Bitter qualities linger briefly, before the mildly dry finish takes over.

It goes some places, but not all the way. Citrus and earthiness, dry finish. Lacks a good maltiness.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Bottled 03/21/13. Mostly hazy golden orange color. Half-finger thin bubbly white head. Good thick rows of lace. Lighter body. Good crisp lighter carbonation, more dry in the finish. Very nice grassy hop aroma, nice earthy hop, some herbal.. Light bitter, light sweet, little zesty, bit of savory taste. One of the better satisfyingly hoppy session brews Iíve ever had.. Love that itís such a low ABV, too. Itís not unquestionably a "session brew" until itís below 4%

Bottle. Pours a near clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma is full of earthy hops with notes of grass and leaves with backing earthy bread. Flavor is similar with earthy grass and a bit of grapefruit with backing bread notes.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought orange peel, grapefruit, spice and a hint of floral notes into some caramel, toffee in there. Taste is a mix of grass, grapefruit, yeast, spice, some orange, hints of caramel, finishing bitter.

Draft on tap at The Beer Spot GTMW Eve Event at Brickhouse (Madison, WI). Pours a nice deeper hazed shady orange hue. A dulled glow, nice egdes. Frothy whitish head atop dies to a decent filmy layer, laces ok. Aromas are grapefruit rind, juice, and a bit of lemon. Some more rind oils, juicy quality, some gentle bready malt. Dry and firmly citrus driven. Initial is small body, light, and dry. A bit bitter. Small body lends itself a decent bitterness, touches of soap, florals, mellow grapefruit and citrus. Not as powerful as the nose. Middle is small bodied, decent with some session qualities. Some decent fruit, bread, dry grainy feel. Backend is dry, firmly bitter for itís size. Some resiny and rind qualities. Grapefruit, lemon, oils. Finish is dry, resiny and rind driven. Nice rind presence and citrus flavor without being tart, real bitter, or pulpy. Nice session beer.

Bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Pours unclear golden with a big creamy white head. Strong fruity hop aroma as the cap goes off, grassy and citrussy as well. Taste is moderate bitter, more dry balanced fruity, high carbonated, long dry finish, good one.

@ GABF. Bright dark gold, lasting head. Bright pine and fir hop aroma. A lack of malt sugars hurts the beer somewhat in the palate, making it seem brassy and unbalanced, but itís overall a good effort on a pale and well-hopped session beer.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, mango, and grapefruit. It pours sort of a transparent golden-orange with a two finger white head that fades to a soapy film within a minute or so. Thereís some spotty webbing left of the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with quick dose of grass and herbal notes. The finish has lots of grapefruit, light pine, and just a hint of sweet citrus. Itís light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I wish the flavor mimicked the citrus and mango aromas. Regardless, itís a nice light and sessionable IPA.

12ounce glass at the brewpub. This pours a ginger hue and has a very small ring of white. The nose is very grassy with wafts that are noticeable from a distance. The first sip is also grassy with bigger bitterness than expected. Carbonation is light. There seem to be west coast hops and some noble hops, as well. There are citrus and sulfer notes that come mid glass. Just a dash of caramel adds light sweetness but this is dry. It is very nice. I have extra admiration for a brewer that can extract flavor and character from a low ABV beer.
