COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prolonged Enjoyment has a huge earthy hop fragrance of green grass, pine, and citrus fruit. The sweet, malty flavors are met quickly by zesty American hop characteristics. This India Pale Ale has a light body but is packed with extraordinary bitterness. Bitter qualities linger briefly, before the mildly dry finish takes over.

On tap Birch & Barley Wash. DC. Pours a hazy, golden orange color with a finger of fluffy white head and decent retention. A lot of lemon zest and citrusy hop aroma on the nose. Taste has a really nice citrusy and grassy hop bitterness. A lot of lemon zest up front, followed up by the citrusy hops, and there is a hint of a grassy, earthy flavor in there as well. Light to moderate body, with a crisp, lively feel.

Bottle poured a hazy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma has citrus, light resins, mild bitterness, grass, and some tropical fruit. Mouth feel coats well for the low abv. and the carbonation is good. Flavor is just right for the strength, pale malted core, citrus, some tropics, mild resins, and a clean finish. Extremely drinkable and very much enjoyed.

Bottle. Pours a very cloudy yellow-orange color with very little head. Potent aroma for such a light beer. Musty, dank hops. Picking up a lot of pineapple, grass, flowers, tropical fruit, lemons, and herbal hops. Taste is all fresh hops, just like the aroma. Mostly lemons and grass but there’s other hops too. Light sweetness, light bitterness. Very little malt taste. Smooth finish. Fairly thick body, surprising for such a light abv. Definitely one of the best session APA’s or IPA’s I’ve had.

Lots of herbal hop aroma and taste. Slightly cloudy golden color. Minimal head. Downside was thin body from lack of malt.

Draft at Reno’s East (from notes). Really light and starts off with some nice citrus and a little pine. The flavors all quickly fade though. Really good for a super low ABV session beer.

Bottle, slightly hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma is citrus with some slighy floral notes. Taste is hoppy, pineapple and some faint resin notes, just enough malt for it not being very unbalanced. Light palate, dry and refreshing with a mild bitter aftertaste. Extremely enjoyable for such a low abv, definitely one to keep on stock for the summer.

Bottle. Pours a honey color. Medium sized white head. Some lacing. Nice big hoppy grapefruit aroma. Note that at this point I’m pretty excited. Unfortunately the next step is to taste it. Sadly the taste doesn’t live up to the excitement caused by the aroma. I pick up some citrus and pine, but it seems very watery. I get the fact that its got to be hard to make something with such a low ABV, but it really seems watered down. Plenty of respect to Shorts to put out something that you can drink all day without feeling the effects, but it really is just ok. Not able to compete with Founders All Day IPA session ale in taste.

Draft at Rezervoir Lounge - pours a light gold with a slight haziness . Great citrusy pine aroma . Taste is a little thin even for a session IPA . Kind of bready on the finish . Ok I guess . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
