3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012
[4933-20121113] 12floz bottle. Mild mango orange hops aroma has a light smoked background note. Clear, golden orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. More toasted fruity orange hops in the flavour. Medium body has a nice bitterness. Tasty, could be a little on the old side to rate though. (7/3/8/3+/15) 3.6

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MIBRomeo (2346) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Golden copper color w/ lots of visible carbonation and a dense off white pour with thick lacing. First aroma was of apricot and some earthy hop notes. Lightly bitter notes a fair amount of sweet caramel and some dark fruits. It smells good, but comes off like a sweet belgian with hop notes almost. Palate is well coated and lightly creamy. The flavor is clean well hopped with a good amount of fruit probably a mix of raisen and grapefruit and a light pine aftertaste. A very unique and odd flavor. Unique in that I could see some people really loving it, to me it was interesting and worth a try, but not something I’d buy again.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ROGUE (1566) - Newark, Delaware, USA - OCT 15, 2012
On tap Birch & Barley Wash. DC. Pours an amber caramel color with a two finger fluffy white head. Smell is bitter pine, earthy and slight citrus hop aromas up front with a fairly big sweet malt backbone. Taste has a sharp bitterness up front with grassy and earthy flavours. The malt backbone provides a good balance. The golden raisins are slightly evident. Medium mouthfeel that starts sticky sweet and ends very bitter and somewhat astringent.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 BMMillsy (681) - Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Pours copper colored. Aroma of stale beer and very slight hops. Taste is bitter with stale flavor. Don't get any raisins here. Only okay at best. Disappointed, since I love Huma.

Bottle:   Fireweed honey in color, clear, moderate frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Sweet pithy nose, even a slight sweet long cut tobacco nose.   Moderate sweetness on the tongue, pithy, citrusy, not sure I get the golden raisins.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Very faint white grape like presense towards the backside.   Not a big IIPA, not too heavy with the raisins.   Nothing off with this one, but nothing that jumps out either.   Thanks kevin for the bottle!

Draft. Poured a bit lighter than I expected - a cloudy amber color, with a small off-white head, expected something a bit darker based on the raisins, but hey - whatever. Aroma was sweet, slight grape/raisin. Alcohol was pretty subtle compared to the listed abv.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2012 Pours a clear medium orange color with lots of head that lingers. Various hop aroma including pine, grass, tropical fruit, and oranges. Taste is fairly sweet and fairly bitter. Lots of orange, pine and raisin flavor. A decent amount of malt backs it up. Slightly dry and soapy on the finish. A decent unique double IPA.
