COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Liquified laughter from fruit filled disaster.
Simply put: Fruit Rye Ale. A bountiful blend of toasted rye flakes and two row malted barley make wort fermented with 200 pounds of pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries resulting in a sweet fruity delicacy. Intoxicatingly refreshing and brewed special for those ladies who enjoy their wine.

Dude. How am I expected to like a beer that plainly says in the RB descript "brewed special for those LADIES who enjoy their wine."? Iíll give it a shot. How off-putting. [A] Aroma is non-offensive berry. Banana. Strawberry. Pleasant fruit. Without being too rotten, artificial, weak, or up front. [A] Clear amber. Reddish, with pink-white head. [F] Its a fruit beer. Did you expect roast, maybe? No. Fruity, slightly tart flavors. Actually, banana, or yeastiness follows through. Rye, not so much. And the fruit variety is actually, yes, that of an Arbor Mist or MD 20/20 wine. So-so. [P] Bottled, on a hot day, I could probably do this much better than any other fruit beer, period. 9% could catch up quick, as it is not at all noticeable. Drinkable. But, you have to look past the fruit, I guess. Light. Highly carbonated, crisp mouth. [O] Decent fruit beer. One of the few impressions from Shortís brewery Iíve had. And itís no Berry Weiss. So I guess I could have hated this more. But I donít think Shortís needs to worry about its feminine appeal.

One of my favorite beers. Has great fruity and floral notes and not too hoppy. Great on a warm, spring day with salty foods. High alcohol content so sip on it.

The color has an almost pink look to it. Not much of a head, though. Aroma is fruits and flavor is fruits with a creamy feel. Goes down smooth and tastes delicious.

Decent and fruity as I guess it should be. Fruity ester aroma with hints of berry. Clear dark golden color with good clarity and a good head. Full palate that was light and crisp. High carbonation. Fruit hits you first with a slight bitterness at the back end. Almost cider-like but not overly sweet. Good for a style that I donít normally grab.

Tap. Pours clear red with off-white head. Smells like raspberries. Has a lot of berry flavor with a intense bitterness- overall the bitterness and fruitiness does not mingle well. Not very good.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, big thanks to our host with the most (stairs) LKS, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Hazed orange amber with a thin off white head. Nose is tangy fruits, straw, bitter orange, light citric notes, peach melba, earthy tones. Taste comprises tarte apricot, perfumed twist, peaches, sugars, orange sherbet. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying closure. Decent for style.

Bottle. Semi cloudy reddish amber pour, with an off white head. Malty, strawberry, raspberry, berry sweetness, stale bread, and light rye notes. Overall the flavors arenít too exciting, unfortunately.

The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Hazy amber beer, pale peach coloured head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Light sourish fruits with a nice touch of sherbet. Light floralness and a whisper of jam. Nice!
