3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dude. How am I expected to like a beer that plainly says in the RB descript "brewed special for those LADIES who enjoy their wine."? I’ll give it a shot. How off-putting. [A] Aroma is non-offensive berry. Banana. Strawberry. Pleasant fruit. Without being too rotten, artificial, weak, or up front. [A] Clear amber. Reddish, with pink-white head. [F] Its a fruit beer. Did you expect roast, maybe? No. Fruity, slightly tart flavors. Actually, banana, or yeastiness follows through. Rye, not so much. And the fruit variety is actually, yes, that of an Arbor Mist or MD 20/20 wine. So-so. [P] Bottled, on a hot day, I could probably do this much better than any other fruit beer, period. 9% could catch up quick, as it is not at all noticeable. Drinkable. But, you have to look past the fruit, I guess. Light. Highly carbonated, crisp mouth. [O] Decent fruit beer. One of the few impressions from Short’s brewery I’ve had. And it’s no Berry Weiss. So I guess I could have hated this more. But I don’t think Short’s needs to worry about its feminine appeal.

This is my first beer from Short’s. Not bad, it is pretty easy to drink and you definitely taste the berries.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Hazy reddy-amber pour, with a small off-white head. Sweetish nose with berry fruit notes. Flavour was similar with some raspberry and blueberry alongside a little tartness and some pale malts. Fruit seems somehow artificial and a bit thin overall. I was expecting more here - disappointing.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear reddish to pink colored pour with a thin head. Aroma of musty fruit, notably strawberries. Medium mouth. Taste is light overall. Strawberry and hints of medicine. Something really strange about this beer. Melon rind & a strange mustiness.
