3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at bottle share at the Sybarite Pig in Boca. Small snifter. Pours an amber-red copper with a thin, pinkish white head. Well it smells like strawberry short cake. Strawberries, whipped cream, and vanilla. And it tasted like it. Not much explanation needed. They hit the nail on the head with the flavors. I found it too sweet but I guess a strawberry shortcake is sweet. Just not my type of desert.

Bottle. Pours a murky rose-amber. Smells like a desert; "cake-y", milk sugar, some fruit. Tastes of cake, muddy strawberry, milk sugar; the flavors aren’t bright. Rather odd.

Pours golden amber. Transparent.
Aroma is strawberry forward. A little artificial smelling. Very sweet.
Taste is sweet.
Body is medium. Short finish. Interesting, but wouldn’t need to drink a lot of this.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Ominous red color, not quite dark enough for "ruby" or "crimson" yet. Slightly orange tinted, too. Mild haze with an off-white soapy film on top. Strawberry juice aroma, very fruity & backed with a residual sugary sweetness. Hint of bready malts as well. Flavor is a bit more complex. Notes of strawberry purée, milky lactose sweetness, under baked bread & biscuits. The malts give off a doughy vibe while the strawberries mix with the lactose to actually give the impression of a strawberry short cake. Residual strawberry finish with lingering notes of whipped cream & granulated sugar. Sweet.... Very sweet. But definitely a fun one to drink.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is strawberries, shortcake, not as light as I expected. Color is strawberry juice, offwhite head. Taste is strawberry shortcake, some wheat, could be heavier but I’m not upset. Mouthfeel is decent, like watery jelly, but real light on the aftertaste. Overall, pretty tasty stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle share last night at a friend’s house.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi - clear soft orange to yellow color with a slim white one finger foamy to bubbly head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. There was barely any lacing at all.
The smell - well it smelled exactly like strawberry shortcake. I mean it’s all there - strawberry over top of bready like sweet cake goodness.
The taste was there. Sweet strawberry over the sweet breadiness of shortcake amplifies a sticky sweet aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was smooth and sweet as it ran over my mouth.
Overall, Short’s did exactly what they chose to do everything is there and authentic. I commend them for trying something new to at least me, but I’m unsure if I would have another go around at this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Strawberry Shorts Cake pours a deep orange with small bubbly beige heady that doesn’t last long. The aroma is strawberries and biscuits. The flavor is rather sweet with strawberries and biscuits. Overall this is a pretty accurate name for the beer, but the beer is pretty average.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber color with a thin white head. Has a pleasant sweet strawberry aroma. Flavor is also fruity, along with some bread and grass notes. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. That odd grassy taste hurts, otherwise this is very tasty.
